Fact number 1
you're going to need a 4 thousand dollar pc to be able to run games like crysis and UT3 on full settings.Huxley_01
Fabrication, not fact. You can make a good gaming rig for less than one grand.
Fact Number 2
Xbox 360 is 400 dollars.. yet will be able to run games like UT3 and look great..
You could never ever run UT3 on a 400 dollar pc..
You already have a PC. The amount of money that it costs to upgrade to where it looks and plays well is far less than you make it out to be.
Fact Number 3
99.9% of you guys will not be able to run crysis, UT3 or any Dx10 game on full settings..
So stop saying how the pc version will "look and run " better when it doesn't matter cause most people won't run the game on full settings.
Everyone said the exact same thing about Half-Life 2.

That's false I can get teh 8800GTX off teh black market for $200 and a 2.4GHz core 2 duo for $100 off ebay and I can make the rest of teh PC myself and build it myself which means I can built teh $300 which is>>>>>>>>>>>than the $400 xbox360!!!
Fact number 1
you're going to need a 4 thousand dollar pc to be able to run games like crysis and UT3 on full settings.
Or you could wait a few months and build a $1000 PC that could run them at moderately high settings.
Fact Number 2
Xbox 360 is 400 dollars.. yet will be able to run games like UT3 and look great..
You could never ever run UT3 on a 400 dollar pc..
Yeah, well you can't really surf the web, write reports or do that sort of stuff on a $400 either.

Just because some people won't be able to run it at those settings doesn't mean that it all of a sudden isn't capable of it.

ok while the OP is wrong show me a 200 buck 8800GTX The 8800 GTS is now aroung $300 and runs brilliantly. That's the one I'll be getting for my new system.Oh yeah, your 360 game won't look PC level unless you have a $1000 HD TV :P16bitkevinOr a $50 PC monitor + VGA cable...

BTW, to be fair, you should add the shipping charges for all those items. It could add up to ~$50. Not that much but still...
And 75% of American households don't have HDTVs. So it doesn't matter how great a console game can look, because most people can't run it in HD.
Danm_999
That logic is flawed because are people who have crappy SD TV's going to buy the xbox360? No, they'll still with their ps2, xbox, or GC... Mostly just the 25% of the people who have an HD TV's will buy the xbox360, which is still a lot of people...

Even though you have somewhat of a good point, seriously? Did you even try to pic out good games or did you just name all of them. I mean "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"? "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2"? "Alan Wake"? You should refine your list with only good upcomming PCÂ exlusive games...

Also his prices are off
360 and PS3 killer PC
CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 $250
(way off, the e6300 debuted at $180, its going to drop even less to like $140 in a month or 2 when the e6320 comes out.
Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 $155 (actually its more like $125)
G.Skill NT 2GB DDR2 667Mhz $255 (duuuude, you can get 2gb DDR2 800mhz ram for that much, and you have to have ddr2 800mhz at least anyways if you're going to overclock that system)
Gigabyte 7900GS 256MB DDR3 $200 (the x1950pro beats out the 7900gs by a mile for the same price.
120GB SEAGATE SATA $80 (you can get a 320gb SATA for $90 now)
LG 16x DVD-RW DVDRW $40 (ok)
Thermaltake Soprano (with Thermaltake 430W PSU) $120(ok as well, could be a bit cheaper though)
Still a nice bit of ownage though, even with the incorrect prices/poor part choices.
