Neither do I.The tech demo almost made me cry. *sigh* What could have been? *sigh*
Conversely the new website with the teaser already shows signs of how Bethesda is going to royally screw up the game. What was that music? It was so unFallout like. Where's the jazz circa 1940s/50s?

Well, something's telling me it's never going to be the same.Â

The music is the least of my worries, what about the First person perspective?[QUOTE="poovine"]The tech demo almost made me cry. *sigh* What could have been? *sigh*

Â
Cry out of sadness. I'll take that graphically outdated version of Fallout 3 over an "Oblivionated" version from Bethesda.

The music is the least of my worries, what about the First person perspective? It doesn't necessarily have to be in a first person perspective. Oblivion did have the 3rd person option, so we know the engine can support that view. I just hope Bethesda can manage to pull off the atmosphere and humor that the orginial Fallouts pulled off. It's hard to describe, but fans of the orginals know what I'm talking about.

I know what you are talking about. I really enjoyed the dark humour and the easter eggs that were in the original games. I hope that Bethesda does not hold back and allows the series to maintain its "mature" content.[QUOTE="smokeydabear076"][QUOTE="Realtop"][QUOTE="poovine"]The tech demo almost made me cry. *sigh* What could have been? *sigh*

I don't know about the humor, man. Look at Oblivion, it was one big joke without a punch line.

Â
They better outsource writers to come up with the dialogue. Oblivion's characters, dialogue, and plot had less personality than a .... um... *insert humorous example of something with little personality*.Â

Neither do I.Makes three of us...Â
Bleh. The game will probably sell millions and get awards/high scores heaped on it left and right. But as for being like the originals? Not very likely. I'm of the opinion it'll be Elder Scrolls 4.5. And really, considering the massive success TES has had, why wouldn't they? Stick with what you know, especially if it works.
I doubt I'll be buying it though, unless Bethesda does the inconceivable and actually stays true to the series' legacy.
I honestly think that ex BlackIsle people released all those Van Buren screens, videos and finally the tech demo itself solely to piss Bethsoft off, because most likely whatever Bethsoft shows a month from now will likely be utter crap compared to even rough version of van buren :)AdrianWerner
Haha.Â

Neither do I.Yeah, totally. Their track record of amazing AAA games would definitely give you reason to doubt them. :roll:Â
Man, BlackIsle is gone, interplay disbanded the whole team, and. This techdemo was made by one guy. Realtop
Ermm..no. Whole BIS worked on the tech demo, it the tech demo they did in 2003.Â

Â
Why? If this is such a good game wouldn't you want as many people as possible to have access to it?Â
Â
Because he believes that if they make it for the x-box the pc-version will suffer. Controllers adapted for a gamepad instead of a mouse, and things like that.  Â

The music is the least of my worries, what about the First person perspective?Well, they've changed the music style alot, so that should give us some clues about the game itself.Â

You dont understand, Bethseda might be good in creating TES games, but Fallout is another story. F1 and F2 is totally different and five million times better than anything Beth has ever done, and what Fallout fans, like me, are worried about is that they are gonna do "Oblivion with guns" which will, plain and simple, suck.

Â
Assuming Bethesda completely "Oblivionizes" and ruins the game, there would be 3 things that could possibly salvage it. 1. Killing children (this is a must). 2 Becoming a porn star 3. Having Dogmeat on your team.Â

The thing is...nothing Bethesda has ever put out is even remotely close to the Fallout-series (F1 and F2), let alone Planescape: Torment.
Black Isle > Bethesde; always has, always will.Â

Because he believes that if they make it for the x-box the pc-version will suffer. Controllers adapted for a gamepad instead of a mouse, and things like that.

That's silly, it didn't hurt FEAR.Â
