ok so I know about the dlc for pc only and thats cool I'm just not sure I'm gonna drop more money till I know if I'll like the dlc. Its more I've played my brothers copy of fallout for ps3 and am just wondering if it would be more enjoyable for pc.

System:

Asus M50Sv-B1

2.1 ghz dual core intel processor

3 gb RAM

nVidia geforce 9500m graphics card 512mb video memory

ya if u need more info lemme know. Had a weird issue where crysis would shut down my laptop if I played for a while and has only happened while I played wow once and I had a ton of stuff open at the time so if anyone wants to weigh in on that go for it.

Well Honestly I picked it up for Ps3, and I don't see what all the hubub is about. I mean it plays fine, no big errors and the graphics are just as good

Well its true that there is some dlc coming for the pc, however what makes the pc version superior is all the free mods out there. check fallout3nexus.com and see for your self.

graphics look fine to me and I'm not even playin hd lol but ya I just cant decide if dlc would even be worth it these days since all the dlc for oblivion were things I just didnt care about later on. its more the whole my pc shuts off when taxed which is probably for safety reasons but still worries me a little lol.

What's your NVIDIA Forceware (graphics card driver) version? Fall Out 3 runs fine (at high settings 720p/800p) on my ASUS G1S. System: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2Ghz with 4MB L2 cache. RAM: DDR2 4 GB for dual channel mode. OS: Vista Ultimate 32bit GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT GDDR3 (1400Mhz) 256MB VRAM and NVIDIA Forceware 179.29. Do you have a laptop cooler during the summer temps?

Whenever you have a choice between PC or consoles, always get the PC version if your PC can handle it.

At those specs it goes both ways, you can't go wrong with either pick.

between those two Id go with the PC version.

1) Its got a console, which is worth alot in certain situations)

2) it has the geck, which lets users create thier own content, and looking back on the previous Eldar Scrolls games, Id say that it is a very big + in my book.

as a side bonus: if you in 10 years want to play it again, you can just install it into your new nice computer, and it will likely run.

I doubt PS4-5 will play ps3 games...

There's pretty much no difference between the PC and PS3 version of the game. I got it for my PS3 and thought it was a great game I never had the freezing issues with it that other people had but then again I downloaded the patch. But get it on what you prefer if you prefer playing PC games then get in PC and vice versa.

It won't look much better than the PS3 version but you'll have the ability to change your stats, teleport, add things, and just screw around when you want to.thefsmlol
With his video card, no it won't. But with a good video card, it looks much better than the PS3 version. Especially with the graphic mods that have already come out.

with that graphics card definetly not. you can still play the game but it will loss alot of it's appeal cause fallout3 is a very good looking game. all teh crap about PS3 version being inferior is really a joke there are no major differences if you had a better PC then i would have definetly suggested PC version but with a 9500m your gonna get a crappy looking game

Gefore 9500M as in mobile? because that is pretty sketchy. I'd pick PC fallout over 360 and PS3 because my gaming PC is kick ass but for you I am not sure if PC would be the best choice. I am really not sure because I have not a clue about nvidia mobile series.

Thnx for all the help guys.

ASUS M50Sv-B1 is fitted with Geforce 9500M GS i.e. 950 Mhz 32 stream processors (each are dual** instruction issue) and 512MB 800Mhz GDDR2. It's basically Geforce 8600M GT with GDDR2 at 800Mhz.

ASUS G1S is fitted with Geforce 8600M GT i.e. 950 Mhz 32 stream processors (each are dual** instruction issue) and 256MB 1400Mhz GDDR3. It runs smooth at high settings, HDR enabled, 4X AA, 8X Anisotropic Filtering, 1280x720p.

Gamespot's PS3 screenshot

ASUS N80 is fitted with Geforce 9650M GT MXM-II card i.e.1325 Mhz 32 stream processors (each are dual** instruction issue) and 1GB VRAM 800Mhz GDDR2. I haven't tested FallOut 3 on this new laptop.

**Due to a design flaw, its peek 3 instruction issues are reduced to effectively a dual instruction issue. GT2x0 GPUs fixes this flaw.

Probably? How about owning the actual hardware? NVIDIA's Geforce 9500M GS GDDR2 has half the fill rate compared to GDDR3 version. To simulate GDDR2 version, I underclocked my GDDR3 VRAM 1400Mhz to 800Mhz. At my current settings, it's still playable at GDDR2 speeds. To make it smooth, I disabled AA (bandwidth consumer). That Geforce 9500M has 512MB VRAM.

I'm not using 185.20 drivers yet...

Geforce 8600M GT/Geforce 9500GS may suck at PC exclusives; but they are fine with consoles ports.

Definatly for PC, i mean you get better visuals, better performance, the DLC option etc

BTW the DL content seems vital to me

- adds a new huge snow area, making for something different than the destroyed world

- adds a level cap extension in the 3rd pack, that is absolutly must have if you like the game

etc

The PC version by a long shot. Even if you can't run the game on the highest settings the amount of customization that can be done on the PC makes it the better choice. And you should figure in the DLC because it's going to be awesome.
