Fallout 4 or Witcher 3 - which is better?

I haven't played FO4 yet, but I got kind of burned out on the whole post-apocalyptic setting

Witcher 3, absolutely no question. It's just a much more complete and polished game than FO4 is. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying FO4, but Witcher 3 is a class apart. Probably one of the best games I've played in a long, long time.

Witcher 3 has the better story and graphics. Fallout 4 has the better everything else.

Fallout 4. It's better than I expected to be honest. Witcher 3 was good but Fallout 4 is like a page turner that you can't put down.

Too early for that. Have people even finished FO4?

They have, the main story only takes something like 13 hours to complete.

As much as I'm still playing Fallout 4, I gotta go with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on this one.

Fallout 4 is getting dumped on.

Liked Witcher 1, 2 and 3 more than Fallout 3 and Skyrim, so I voted Witcher 3 (even though I haven't played F4 but looks familiar).

Clickbait, two different rpgs. Even if you say The Witcher 3 v/s Fallout 4, MGSV, Bloodborne ... no one can compete against Wiedźmin. Fallout 4 or Stalker - better post-apocalyptic thread is interesting.

TW3. No contest.

Fallout is always fun for the exploration aspect, but the story is always a giant "meh."

The Witcher 3 certainly has the better production values and a better storyline, but I've had tons more fun exploring the gameworld and building up my settlements in Fallout 4.

Witcher is definitely more my type of game...

So far for me FO4 has been a huge disappointment and I am having a hard time getting into it. I have a feeling the ending will be as predictable as always with Bethesda games too. I loved every second of Tw3 though.

On every possible way except for the actual sandbox, Fallout 4 is outclassed by Witcher 3.

This isn't a competition, Witcher 3 wins.

Tried to play TW3, just wasn't feeling it. I might go back to it some day.

Haven't played Fallout 4 at all.

On paper TW3 sounds like the much better game, but there is always that chance I could enjoy Fallout 4 much more. I'll probably check it out some time next year.

Both are amazing, but i'll go with The Witcher 3. That's one of the best games i have ever played!

just bought Fallout 4. It's gonna take me like a week to download it though. XD

Fallout 4. Witcher 3 seemed good but it just hasnt hooked me like fallout. Wasn't a big fan of witchers combat either

I've played neither, but Fallout 4 appeals more - based on my impressions of everything I've seen/heard so far.

Too early to tell but I enjoy fallouts setting more and that world is more fun to explore.

Fallout's setting is literally the worst thing about it.

The more i thought about FO4 the more i reach to the conclusion that it's an Exploration Simulator ! i mean literally everyone who's a fan of Bethesda games overall has one thing to say " i had fun exploring the world"

But you have too many reason to love TW3 !

Remember, he made a thread and was blaming Steam because his download was so slow.

I feel like TW3 is more refined than Fallout 4 but when it comes to content and enjoyment, they're both absolutely amazing.

TW3 had better writing and story with very memorable characters as oppose to Fallout 4.

Fallout is meh

Witcher 3 seems superior in graphics, stability, animation and story. Hell, even the side quests have more depth than fallout 4's storytelling. Fallout 4 is just random stuff put together in a game with no coherence. Not a bad thing I guess, since people seem to play nothing else these days.

Indeed, Bethesda feels like an amateur dev after TW3. Still, FO4 is a decent game.

Witcher 3 by a landslide.

The Witcher 3's long term replay value isn't enough. The plot is fantastic, but the side quests and the relatively homogenous world (when compared to Fallout at least), mean its a 100-200 hours max game. Mod support and the insane amount of diversity in activities for Fallout easily make it a 500 hour game. I'm a bit partial to shooters but combat is way better in Fallout 4. Lets not forget that before Witcher 3 1.08 or so, Geralt was a clumsy mess, and most combat falls down to fast attack, dodge repeat. One boss fight into Fallout 4 and I find the AI much more combat savy (when not bugged) than Witcher 3's which had an easily exploited agro radius and pretty much relied on mindless attack. Witcher 3's polish was wonderful though, and CDPR have objectively made the better game as far as graphics, animations, and writing (dear god Fallout's writing...) Bethesda games are all about the subjective though, likely what keeps people flocking too them. Video games are about fun after all.

There is no competition, as much as I love fallout 4 , CDproject raised the bar for all RPG's, fallout us a better sandbox though.

objectively I would say TW3 is the better game.

Subjectively? well it is a bit harder, I like a lot of what FO4 portrays and tries, not finished it yet, but comparing it to TW3 is almost cruel.

That said, FO4 might entertain me for more hours then TW3 did. (granted I reached the 100 hour mark in that game, only 64 into FO4 so far)

I don't think Fallout 4 is setting new standards.
