@sealionact:
If "said" game doesn't score what was agreed upon within the community of SW. This agreement takes place a couple of weeks (or even months) before "said" games releases.
The game is a lot of fun. It's basically a lot like FO4 gameplay-wise, but with an entirety new world to explore. As far as reviews go, I'm just ignoring them. All else I can say is that going by scores, sure, it flopped, but the servers have been packed so far every session I've played (PS4), and I've already put in around twenty hours or so. The reviews may stink, but a whole lot of people are playing.
how are the servers packed this game sales were down 80% from fallout 4 physically
They are packed. I have not connected to a map that wasn't full yet.
I dislike the game, though. I never want to play a game where I have to spend so much time finding food and water. I know that some may think that is a stupid gripe, but it seriously p***es me off that I have to deal with it. I'm right in the middle of a "event", and I have to stop what I am doing and eat some Squirrel Bits and drink some water? WTF??? That, and rad-a-way is such a scarce commodity, but everything irradiates you.
Dilute your radaway. It makes it last a whoooole lot longer because you basically have twice as much. I'm never out of radaway because of it. Just hold like ten in your inventory, and dilute half of them whenever needed. They last a while. As for eating and drinking, there are various ways to make it simple. You can use the lead belly perk and basically just eat anything, be it herbs off the ground as you walk by or...anything (if you combine it with cannibalism it's even better, if a bit gross). Same goes for drinking. If you get a disease either a radaway or a diluted stimpak usually cures it quick. But there are a bunch of other ways. It's really not hard.
And, yeah, the servers are still full every time I play. Which is great. :)
So....
What are the chances that someone figures out how to load the game world into the Fallout 4 engine? Then the community could mod some real content into it.
Because the world is cool, probably the one good thing you can say about it. There's just nothing in it.
@StormyJoe: intersting... I really have not had a problem finding water and food. I typically never need to go out and find it... it just seems to be there through normal looting or questing.
But I hear ya, food and water in gaming is not for everyone. I personally always turned these mechanics on for NV and 4 once available.
Historically narrative/DnD driven franchise releases entry with no story, no quests, no npcs, lite rpg systems and broken fort building. Of course this game sucks, who out there thought this would be good? I hope ES6 blows my mind, because Bethesda has been on my shit list for about 6 years.
It's a pretty big flop, but not the worst one in recent memory. The worst (best for lols) flops are system exclusives that those fanboys thought would be great but turned out to be terrible. 76 was a multiplat that most people thought would be bad prior to release.
I'm definitely a bit perplexed by these scores - the game has a lot more content and substance right now than something like Sea of Thieves or No Mans Sky which got not great but at least mediocre reviews.
I guess this is just a case of being lucky (and historically unlucky), but I've experienced relatively few technical issues and bugs with 76 compared with FO4 and Skyrim.
in some ways, I don't think this is a bad thing since it'll force Bethesda to up their game in terms of sloppiness and polish in the future. I kinda feel like this reckoning should have happened with Fallout 4 since that game was just as much of a mess as 76.
I do suspect a lot of people who enjoyed Bethesda's previous games will be depriving themselves of a game they would probably enjoy quite a bit if they gave it a real chance
Nope. Never interested in playing with assholes online. I want single player fallout. I don't want a Rust or Arc clone in fallout backdrop. Making this multiplayer and not an rpg was an instant no buy from me. They should of just made fallout 5. I also take it as a way to cash in on microtransactions and "Games as a service" two things that are the plague and need to die.

Well that's the thing, the negative reviews come mostly from people that want this to be a single player fallout but it isn't, and this game isn't a 4 by far, the negative spiral has just been amplified by all the streamers shitting all over it because they want this to be a single player game, and they are overly focussed on bugs, which is kinda inherent to bethesda engine's.
I probably won't be playing fallout 76 because I don't like mmo's, but giving this game a 4 is just unprofessional and childish. If this game was really a 4 not many people would play it, yet the servers are jam packed.
Majority expected it to be trash.
But being hypocrites half the folk calling it shit will probably buy it.
You are beginning to sound like the mainstream gaming "journalists" who have a beef with the general gamer.
Considering that the sales tanked, its safe to assume that most gamers arent buying it and that you are wrong.
@ahmedkhan1994: Wow. That's so funny. Did you write it yourself, or did you hire a comedy writer?
Pure genius, and again....so funny.
Fallout 76 has failed even harder. The people wanting their $200 refund were offered 500 Atoms as for "refund". (500 atoms = $5) Bethesda broke their backs and now there is actually a law firm filing a lawsuit after Bethesda refund policy. Lol Bethesda keeps screwing itself.
