Its the same game like all the halo games if you play one you play them all basically Ah. It seems you never played Fallout 1 or 2 :) To be fair those arent Bethesda games, Bethesda is a one trick pony who uses the same type of game over and over again and they cancel games they cant do when they figure their engine wont work good aka the portable oblivion thing

Fallout new vegas is visually pretty much the same using the same engine, but its a good things they are spending less time on the shininess of the game and more time developing the story line and new gameplay features like customizable guns and a system to control your companions so they dont do stupid crap like in fallout 3.

I hope it is different from fallout 3 too, I loved Oblivion(definetly in my top 5 games of the gen)but I could only play fallout 3 for 2 hours before I was completely bored to tears (and yes I mean 2 hours OUTSIDE of the vault.)

I'll probably be getting this game, but I'm kind of disappointed that it isn't going back to the Fallout 1 and 2 formulas. Those two games were the best in the series.

Yeah. It was Black Isle's Fallout 3, aka the Real Fallout 3. They were pretty deep into development(tech demo was released and everything) and then Interplay shut them down before it was released. They sold Fallout to Bethesda who then made The Elder Scrolls: Apocalypse.
It is looking to be one of my favorite games of all time if they improve the story because Fallout 3 currently holds that position for me and story was the only major week point. I just really hope the music is as good and has someone as awesome as Liam Neeson.

I'm saying they aren't great games. TES II was fine, III was pretty fun, Fallout 3....ok for what it is.
The story will automatically be better, based on the fact that Obsidian know a thing or two about the Fallout series. And second, NCR is back in the mix. As far as gameplay goes, not much will change. But hopefully they fix some of the broken attributes that were in Fallout 3.
I didn't play fallout 3 and never will after I herd all the bugs and freezes on the ps3 version not wasting my time..but now I can SEE NEW HOPE In this new game and Will most def play it..I hope they work out the bugs and dont screw the ps3 version over...AGAIN.

I hope its a tad bigger then fallout 3 I herd wasn't that big...I hope this new one really surpasses fallout 3 in terms of where you can go..and how far you can go.

This, pretty much. I enjoyed Fallout 3 the first time through, but found it to be incredibly dull the second time around. New Vegas is looking rather Fallout 3ish to me, but hopefully Obsidian can add that little extra something plot-wise to give it a bit more staying power for me.
It should be better than Fallout 3. I wish Beth didn't have any influence on it though because Obsidian could really return Fallout to its roots. Shame they ruined Harold in Fallout 3.
I thought Fallout 3 was horrible, so I have no interest in New Vegas. Fallout 3 is the most overrated game this gen in my opinion.derpderp69
FallOut: NV isn't being developed by the same devs. A lot of the original team who worked on FallOut 1,2, Tactics are developing the game so you might want to look into it. Off topic I didn't think FO3 was that bad.
