Fallout new Vegas VS skyrim

I enjoy Skyrim more. But I wish they had a hardcore survival type mode in Skyrim like they did with New Vegas.

True,plenty of those in-game...

But still,the idea itself is a nice touch,it does give your playthrough an additional layer of depth...

Fallout: New Vegas wins.

Skyrim, I hear a lot of good stuff about New Vegas but right when I started it I knew that it was overrated, extremely dissapointing. On the other hand, Skyrim was everything I expected, it was awesome.

Now if only New Vegas had a good first impression like Skyrim...

New Vegas has the better story and RPG elements. I barely played Skyrim(Mainly because I couldn't get passed the lame story and watered down RPG elements) but it had a better soundtrack and variety in its environments.

Skyrim pretty much shoehorned you into being a good guy by giving you no options in the main quest. The dialogue was about as shallow as it could get. Nothing you did had any appreciable effect on the world other than random guard comments. You murder someone in cold blood in front of the whole town? No problem, just pay 1000 gold to get out of jail and afterwards everyone will still like you. Oh let's do away with stats while we're at it.

New Vegas may not have been as pretty as Skyrim but I actually got invested into my character. It basically did everything right that FO3 failed miserably at. Choices had consequences, the main quest had multiple solutions, playing different character builds was interesting, etc. Hardcore mode could have definitely been harder but that's a small gripe.

New Vegas by a mile for me.

I liked New Vages, but Skyrim is a masterpiece.

I tried playing New Vegas after I played Skyrim and couldnt do it. Skyrim is 10x better.Miketheman83

The list goes on and on of the things New Vegas does better than Skyrim. Skyrim looks better... and...... that's it.

Things like that aren't bugs.They're undocumented features :P

Only time when bugs piss me off is when they break my quests,but fortunately,on the PC you can often fix that with console commands :)

New Vegas wasn't made by Bethesda, it was made by Obsidian. Which is why I enjoyed it, and not Skyrim.

Er... that was kind of the point. The main reason NV is bashed is gue to bugs, something that Skyrim is infested with.

Funny how a "broken mess" like Skyrim still gets praised with 9s and 10's and GoTY awards .

Skyrim barely qualifies as an RPG in the first place, New Vegas is leagues above Skyrim. Skyrim holds your hand at every turn, what little choices exist are meaningless, and it doesn't even allow actual roleplaying.

Both but Skyrim is a masterpiece for me.

Skyrim because it was more different from Oblivion than New Vegas was from Fallout 3, and I hate the combat in Fallout even more than in Skyrim.

Easily Skyrim, Failout NV looks too much like Oblivion character wise, which was horrible to look at.

Pretty much what I thought of NV, I had to force myself to play it and it didn't last long at all (5 hours). The world was bland and the characters were just awfull to look at.

Skyrim and NV both suffer from buggy gameplay, Skyrim though is at least entertaining to play with a beautiful world to look at, plus Sovngarde was just amazing and is probably my favorite area in any videogame to date.

've noticed to some people Obsidian can do no wrong even when they keep underperforming they always get a free pass

People do this far more with Bethesda. There are like... three people who praise Obsidian on this forum (Me, Jeth and Kandle) and even then we (or at least I) acknowledge there numerous amounts of faults.

Most Obsidian games are bashed by people and reviewers alike for being "glitchy" and having "outdated animation", two things overlooked in Skyrim, or any Bethesda game.
