i think pro sold 60k and regular ps4 did 30k.

to give you perspective. the sales bump was an equivalent of ps4 releasing a special edition themed ps4. not as big a bump as sony hoped. at least in japan.

Damn, I keep hearing here it's flying off the shelves, but then I hear people claim their local game store only got like a half dozen each. Japan must have been supplied really well.

This isn't really a big deal. There are many reasons why it would and did outsell the Pro....too many to go into on a phone.

The difference is the Pro will either grow or stay at a steady pace while the surge of the NES Classic will die off.

well the nes classic is a limited time item. i dont think youll be able to get them next christmas.

I'm holding off myself, something tells me they'll come up with a 2nd and then 3rd version of these mini-consoles, each with a more robust selection of classic titles.

You have to remember: a shit ton of ppl have a PS4 already and/or don't even have a 4K TV.

The Pro isn't really a necessity of a system. Not that anything gaming is but it's not a brand new generational leap console.

i honestly think aside from this coming holiday season sales won't be remarkable like the PS4.

I'd buy one immediately if Nintendo were to have just allowed your Virtual Console to connect with it.

Such a missed opportunity... Here I am rocking an NES that can't even plug into my HDTV, so I've gotta still keep an old TV around. I'd start rebuying tons of $5 NES VC titles if they played on a legit piece of NES hardware that has an HDMI input, and feels just like the real thing.

Happy to see that, not a fan of PS4 Pro, the launch model is still the go to.

But it is a big difference in price, anyone with a job would be willing to dump $60 on a machine that plays games. $400 is for a much smaller market.
