Dominated by Sony and Nintendo. No surprises here. Still, it's a shame that the Super Robot Taisen series gets so little attention here but it gets so much over there. Seriously, I wish they'd port over some more of their titles. Super Robot Taisen is one of the most awsome mecha related franchieses ever.

It doesn't surprise me.

When these games are out Sony will once again dominate Japan. Same thing will happen worldwide. I still don't understand why people deny the impact of these series.

Famitsu, although considered prestigious, doesn't exceed a circulation of 500,000. Of course, if you make predictions based on the 2 through 5 slots, I'd say it's about time you admitted that the PlayStation platform's DQIX loss hurts Sony in Japan.

Uh, no. "LOOK! FFXIII, RE5, Gundam, and MGS4 fill slots 2 through 5! Definitive proof that Sony wins Japan! Pah, the absence of the most wanted game on that list makes no difference!" Besides, I've already pointed out sales for said games. No MGS has ever cracked a million in Japan and FFXII barely exceeded 2 million. This is taking into account Japan's large PS2 fanbase when FFXII was released. Since RE2, the RE series has sold progressively less. Remind me how 4 million sales (which aren't even guaranteed; as pointed out, people weren't buying PS2s for FFXII as they already had them) will allow Sony to dominate Japan?

i heard that dqx would be on platforms. i doubt they would skip the ps3. by then mgs4, dmc4, ffxii,ffxii vs, re5, and prolly another gundum game will have been released. the ps3 will have too much japanese support to skip. plus the loss of dq9 to a handhelad isnt as bad as to another console.

No suprise that PS3 games is on the list..It was smart move for Sony to bundle Gundam Muso with the PS3 expect a increase sales this week...The 360 only have one game that the Japanese is interested in and thats Lost Odyssey...What happen to trusy bell or enternal sonata??..lol ..I figure this two isnt goin to be good anyways..so no one cares about it..After Lost Odyssey what other games will there be for the Japanese people will have?

Exactly, Sony still have a big chance to turn it over in Japan..I can't wait for Kindom hearts 3 and the new game that ico is currently making for the PS3..And I want some more news on the new game that bioware is working on right for the PS3..The war isnt over yet despite the negativity surroundin Sony I see them coming in really strong ..

Too bad Japan isn't the largest market. I'm not really sure what all that means also considering the Wii triples the PS3 sales (according to the latest weekly sales review).helium_flash

You are right they are not the largest market but they are still important..The Wii is dominating in Japan right now but things can quickly change when more great games for the PS3 comes out..I expect a lot sales here in NA and Europe when MGS4, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil 5 comes out here ..And Devil May Cry 4 is coming out this fall..In march we getting some great games on the PS3 as well ..Oblvion, Fear, Motor Storm, Spinter Cell Double Agent, Tekken Dark resurrection , and etc..Games is begining to come out..and a few month from now Lair, and Heavenly Sword going to come out..I only seeing the PS3 getting better..
