fanboys: ps3 and xbox 360 are equal in graphical superiority

i think we can all agree that they're equal in terms of power.

what you've all been debating is which game 'looks better', which is highly subjective.
since sony gives lots of exclusives big budgets, sony exclusives generally look better.

anyone agree that both systems are equal?

i agree, they are pretty even.

Of course they are very close, whoever claims huge differences on one console over the other is delusional. You wouldn't find so many childish graphic comparaison threads if they weren't that close. Last gen, there were no debate over xbox and ps2.

I haven't seen a 360 game that comes close to KZ2, GoW3, or Uncharted 2. There's this layer of fidelity in those games that I'm yet to see the 360 do.

Nothing can prove that until some dev drops 50-60 million dollars to dev a 360 game.

Only Sony is willing to invest that much into games.

IMO the only games on 360 that look even close to the top PS3 games are Mass Effect 2 and MW2.

Then again. Sony isn't too worried about profit with the huge budgets these games get. I wonder if Killzone 2 even turned a profit lol.

But in a sense he's right. The 360 has been out since 2005. It is 2010, now. Imo, even the first Gears of War holds up to the more recent 360 graphic powerhouses. The PS3 had some impressive exclusives when it launched, but it just keeps gradually getting better and better. There's no doubt that Uncharted 3 will top #2.

Console games improve over time. I see the PS3 doing that, not much in Xbox360 (at least before Reach will be released)
