Far Cry 3 MP Beta NOT Coming to PC

"Ubisoft had just recently announced that they would be conducting a multiplayer beta session for Far Cry 3 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 through the summer. If you are a PC gamer, you may have been wondering why the PC isn't listed, or if Ubisoft would be bringing the multiplayer beta to PC at a later date.

Sadly, it has been revealed, through contact with a Ubisoft representative, that the Far Cry 3 Multiplayer Beta will not be seeing a release on PC. Back when Far Cry was initially launched, it held its place on the PC platform. It seems that this is going to be another title that continues to stray away from its PC origins.

With this being stated, this brings me to a worrying state as to what to expect with the final PC release of this title. Personally, I would love to see a blockbuster title such as this take advantage of the superior PC hardware that is currently available and truly max this title out. But, it seems that we may not be seeing this if Ubisoft doesn't even seem to care about testing the game out on the PC platform."

Call of duty MW2/BO/MW3 are on PC so PC gamers are not missing anything.

Lol, I bet if you were getting the Beta you were like "Wow, Far Cry 3 is going to be awesome"...

Well is anyone actually buying it for the multiplayer? Besides, I'll just check out the Xbox version or the PS3 version of the beta if I really care so much.

Personally,couldn't care less about FC3 MP,looks like another generic CoD clone,so no loss here.Still,bad news for PC gamers who wanted to try it out...

I'm interested in seeing how the SP will fare,though,but I think I'll wait for reviews before making any purchasing decisions...

The game is a real far cry from the first one (bah dum tshh...). I don't understand the arcadeishness of the game; in all gameplay videos I've seen you are a bullet sponge kicking all sorts of ass in a tropical island - points coming out of the air as the corpses piles in. The first one was anything but that, in fact it was probably one of the hardest shooters I've played.

Who cares? The MP for that game is CoD clone trash. I wouldn't play it if Ubisoft paid me toBPoole96

It just looks like a CoD sorta game with some twists. I wouldn't say PC gamers are missing out much. Especially considering most of us are buying it for the single player

ubisoft.. correction ALL multiplat games with mp that dont do a mp beta on pc and amke that console exclsuive. do it to hide how bad it is from those who actually know what real mp is all about. so once again the old saying it true.. xbox and ps3.. the punk @$$ sucka and the silverspoon mutha----er

It's not Far Cry. It's a generic shooter with Far Cry's name slapped on it to sell it and promote it.

Everyone that is hyped up and looking forward to this game...Just remember Farcry 2. Remember all the amazing things Ubisoft said they would do? Now let's remember how it was executed. Awful, wasn't it? I won't be holding my breath for this game and I'll wait for the game to release and the hype to die down before I even raise my eye at this title.

Probably because they are afraid noone on PC will like it, most of us will probably play the demo and think its meh just like their last game. At least if nooone knows weather they will like it or not, some people will still buy it.

Console gamers will lap it up because of their lower standards and apetite for "console graphics king".

That didnt say why you think its good thing. People expected good multiplayer game from mw2, what I and many got was hacked lobbies or/and cheaters in every 2nd game, plus hit detection problems, lag spikes etc.

This decision might lead to broken multiplayer on pc, some people are going to buy fc3 mostly for mp.

Don't really care at all. Wouldn't be surprised if the console servers are dead within the first 3 months.
