Got bored by watching that..
And why the hell did they add markers for enemies?? Do they think gamers are THAT stupid???
Because he just spotted them like in battlefield, you don't have to do it. Anyway, looks pretty cool. Halo 4 will be better though.Got bored by watching that..

I know you don't have to kill them, but still what's the point of adding those big ass markers for you to see the enemies all the time?? Not to mention see them through walls...

What's innovative about that? Its an open world game in a First Person mode. All the conventional traits from other games are there!! I like the amount of colour in the game though! biggest_loser
What games do you guys play if all games you play need to be innovotive, something new never done before?
Was this PC version played with 360pad?
Always thought that FC2 with a couple of improvements in the needed areas could have been a one of the best shooters this gen. Fc3 looks to be like what FC2 should have been. Open world, immersive, choice based gameplay, smooth shooting mechanics. This looking to be the best shooter this gen for me! I played FC2 for so long and have been anticipating this game for 3 years. Looks like the wait is well worth it.
Devs can do amazing things when they actually spend time on their sequals!

How is this game casual? :? The ability to tag enemies is in several games, it was in Deus Ex recently too. It's a handy option to have, you don't need to use it...So you can avoid the enemies and not participate in a gun battle? For stealth options perhaps?[QUOTE="campzor"][QUOTE="GreenGoblin2099"]

I'm sure there'll be a hard core option, where you can turn off all the trackers, HUD, and the markers, and make it like how FC2 was.agreed. i skipped all over the vid.... making me tiredGot bored by watching that..

Really liking the use of vibrant colours. So glad it's not another hyper realistic game where they drain all the colour and apply filters and weird effects. From the rooks island trailer the game looks really fun too but I've been burned with FC2 before thinking the same thing

forget far cry 2 ever existed. this is what far cry 2 should of been.
It's pretty obvious thats the PC version from both the graphics and the mention of Uplay connection in the map menu. Oh Ubisoft, you can't hide the fact that it's a PC game by using a gamepad. Bunch of noobs. Looks like a day one purchase for me though. I honestly like FC2, and this looks to really expand upon it in all directions.
Looks pretty sweet. I'm stoked on it. Loved Far Cry, and FC2 definitely had some serious faults, but I thought it was a lot better than some people make it out to be. What happened with Crytek's involvement? They made the original, and then Ubisoft Montreal has made everything since then. Is Crytek owned by EA now? And if that's the case, I'm assuming it's just that Ubisoft (as publisher) owns the rights to Far Cry?

I'm really excited for the game, but I hope they add in a hardcore mode. I actually enjoyed Far Cry 2 because of the immersion it provided, the HUD was minimal and only showed when necessary, while things like the map, healing and jamming all just added to it. The marking and such, along with the removal of weapon jamming would kind of take me out of that, and I know some people hated it, but adding a hardcore mode wouldn't be bad.
Well, hopefully they add in mod tools and people actually use them to do this. I know Far Cry 2 had mod tools but nobody used them, hopefully this game is great enough to warrant a nice community that can tweak and improve the HUD, I know iHUD for Fallout: New Vegas was neat.

As much hate as FC2 gets, it did a lot of little things right, IMO. Weapon jams were not only intense and added new gameplay elements, they were funny as hell...as were bodily injuries. Also, that dynamic fire and wind was amazing.

Setting up ambushes for convoys, infiltrating enemy camps(when the stealth worked), using that mortar... It did a plethora of things right, but those were heavily outweighed by the less numerous but more significant flaws which is a total shame.
I loved that game, or at least loved what it hoped to accomplish, but it frustrated the hell out of me. The very definition of a rough diamond.
Consoles have Uplay as well. But yeah, probably is the PC version. It's pretty obvious thats the PC version from both the graphics and the mention of Uplay connection in the map menu. I'm getting this just because it's the last fps game with a map editor. For me playing the same maps over and over gets boring quickly, it's much more fun to constantly having to adapt to new maps.
The single player which looks much better than FC2 is a welcome bonus.
So many noob features in this game. Enemies visible through walls, markers to tell you where people are, timers for when people arrive etc. Let's hope there is some kind of hardcore mode.gamebreakerz__
I bet there will be. Better be. Also, for now, I'm going to assume that being able to see the enemies through walls was the result of some kind of binocular tagging, Crysis styles, and will be avoidable by just not doing that.

hope not. those things was decent in the game. What killed FC2 was stupid story/missions and plain worldAnyway the singleplayer is looking really interesting, as opposed to the multiplayer.

Yeah Far Cry 2 just lacked content to fill in the vast world. It was great to plan out an attack and its a far cry (no pun intended) from the heavily linear and scripted stuff we see, though it still had some cool scripted stuff.
I feel like the AI was too good though. They could see an aimbot shoot you through walls, chase you to the ends of the earth, respawn instantly after moving 5 feet from an outpost you cleared, take 10 MP5 bullets to the chest, and have their crappy weapons held together by duct tape and false hopes NEVER jam on them.
On that note, I hope the AI has variety here. Shooting the same dudes over and over got tiring, but it seems with the lethal animals and some of the special units that they're making sure that's not an issue. This is the Far Cry 2 we should have had, and I hope it comes with mod tools the community actually uses, as well as a freaking hardcore mode (since I can't get over the overly informative marks and stuff).
