Half Life 2. Easily. It was everything a sequel should be and a benchmark for computer gaming.

Farcry was an amazing first effort, Crysis looks to build upon it as HL2 did for it's origional.

Doom 3 was an amazing experience, worth one play through and zero time for the multiplayer.

Killzone was too hyped for what it was. I liked it, but I really didn't buy into it like other people. It was a solid FPS.

Halo 2 was probibly the biggest let down out of them all for me. It really didn't bring anything new to the table in single player, except dual wield. Playing as the covenant was not fun. I want Master Chief or no body. Certainly better than Killzone, and alot of other FPSs but it sold well because of Halo 1, not because it was the best game ever. Multiplayer was excellent, but not quite up to Counter Strike level of awesome.

Although Half Life 2 was an innovative title, I somehow enjoyed Halo 2 more. Overall - mainly due to multiplayer - I came away from Halo 2 with a greater sense of satisfaction.

So more people come to the topic and leave their opinion. It's always a good thing to add something a little more controversial. It catches the eye.

Half-Life 2 had a much better single player but Halo 2's multiplayer put it ahead for me. Killzone was bad, Farcry wasnt to great, and Doom 3 had its moments. But dont even compare to Halo 2 and Half Life 2.

Half Life 2 wins hands down.

Farcry had great jungle and AI.
Halo 2 had great multiplayer.
Killzone had a great setting and mythos.
Doom 3 had a killer lighting engine.
Half Life 2 ripped the FPS genre out of the gutter and gave it a shot of Havok.

I'd replace Killzone with BF2 or Fear... Killzone doesn't deserve to be on the same list as Half Life.

Doom 3, though the ending was disappointingly easy.
