Favorite Companion From a Video Game?

You know that one person you'd say, I'd drink with that stud. Okay nevermind about that. Who is just that one companion that had a profound impact on you? Or at least humored you while you played. Also, it isn't limited to RPGs, it could be from any genre. It could Soap Mactavish or Ghost from Call of Duty or like Cole Train from Gears. Heck it could even be like Chie if you're into that kind of stuff. ;)

Anyways aside from the awkward jokes, mine would probably be Garrus from Mass Effect. That guy was the single best dude I've probably seen in a game. Hilarious, sarcastic, and the most dudebro homeslice ever. I'd repeat Mass Effect 3's ending without the Extended Cut DLC a thousand times for that guy. I'd even play Dark Souls with Donkey Konga bongo drums as I shed tears of pure torturous misery. He was the Samwise to my Frodo Shepard.

Well, right now I'm liking Dogmeat(from Fallout 4). I upgraded his skills perk to level 3, and he helps me a lot. So far he has not disappointed me.

Others I've enjoyed in the past, in no particular order, the familiars from Symphony of the Night, I forget which one is my favorite though. I also liked the dog in Fable 2. I know there is more, but I don't remember them all at this moment. In general though, I love the concept of familiars/companions in games.

HK-47: Suggestion: Perhaps we could dismember the organic? It would make it easier for transport to the surface.

HK-47: Amendment: I did forget that. Stupid, frail, non-compartmentalized meatbags!

I love entertaining and generally off the wall companions in games, they always make things far more interesting
