Favorite Console Brand of All Time

Hey,

What is your favority console maker ever? 

This is how it goes down for me;

N64 was great, good graphics, great games and gameplay.

Sega Genesis was also good, graphics were not so hot, but it had really fun games. 

Super Nintendo was awesome and established many great trends in gaming. 

PS1 was also really good, I had Gran Turismo 2, and to date, that game got me into racing games, and was the best racing sim I ever played.

Xbox was awesome, Halo 1, Halo 2, and it was pretty reliable. 

Xbox 360 is decent, good games, good gameplay, but what good is it when it doesn't work. The Xbox 360 is the worst console I ever had. I used to love it, now, I don't even want to think about it. I considered buying another, and I was planning on it, but I'm over that now, and I am not going to go through with that again. For those 360s that work, they are good gaming consoles.

I have also had GameBoy Color, Advance, and Advance SP, they were all very good handhelds. 

I am going to be buying a PS3 soon, and I hope it doesn't let me down! I can't wait. 

Eh, for as much as I dislike Nintendo at this stage of the game, I can't deny how much sweet love I made to the NES, SNES, N64, and GC.

Tip TC, only use bright colors, or abstain from using them at all, because it is hard to read, had I not highlited the text I wouldn't even have noticed that you wanted a ps3

Anyways to answer your question, I'd have to say Sega, Nintendo and Sony

Thanks for the replies.N64 was maybe my favorite, because it was my first real console. Now, if I like the PS3 console like I hope I will, Sony will be my favorite as a company given that I liked the PS1 a fair amount also. I had a Wii, it was good, just not great as a main system. Not as playable to be as the N64 was/is.

I've enjoyed great times with most brands of consoles... My families first ever console was a Sega Master System which was great. But the first console I bought was a Playstation, and I probably had the most fun with that when I was a kid. Last generation was awesome. I owned all 3 consoles at one stage, and I enjoyed all of them immensly.

This gen, again, I've owned all 3 at one stage, but the standout this time is PS3. I had fun with 360 & Wii to some extent, but PS3 has been the standout. So Sony Playstation is my favourite console brand!

Nintendo.

NES, SNES, and the Nintendo 64...that's my childhood in list form. Plus, the Gamecube has probably my favorite game ever, Metroid Prime.

Sony because of ps1/ps2

Sega because I was playing Alex the kid on the mastersystem 2 while my bastard friends got to play Mario on their nesses.

Nintendo because of the nes and snes (And because this is what I really wanted while playing my sega)

Microsoft because they deserve to be mentioned and because I had a hell of a good time with Kotor 1/2.

as for this gen, 360 so far.

The Megadrive is up there tho, still have it. Quality console

Sony is definately my fav with SEGA following in 2nd place.... i just wish the Dreamcast had more luck since it was an amazing console, probably if it had more success (sold more) we'd be enjoying games on the latest Sega console :(

(nothing beats the fun i had back in the 16bit era with the MegaDrive & GameGear, but then again i was a young teenager and had much more free time and less stuff to be concerned about) :)

Currently enjoying the Xbox360 which change my views on MS.... they've surely done huge steps forward with their second console...

Gotta be Nintendo. Their hardware is very reliable and they're the best 1st party software provider out of any brand.

Without Nintendo we wouldn't have Mario, Zelda, F-Zero, Metroid, Starfox, etc etc etc.

I agree with Nintendo being right up there. It is a safe bet. Reliable, fun, and strickly a gaming console. It is hard to go up against that. I do like Playstation also, and even though I loved Xbox 1 and even 360, the luck I have had with the 360 and Microsoft service has ruined there positive reputation in my book. I hope PS3 will get me back on track.

Right the consoles which have had the most AAAA/AAA/AA games for the last decade are the most overrated yet the company that's selling the most consoles with no games isn't.

PS is by far my favourite, no other brand comapres to it. Sega would be my second, the Mega Drive and Dreamcast were great. Nintendo and Microsoft will have to do more to impress me.Floppy_Jim
