For being "THE YEAR FOR GAMING" there have been plenty of let downs already this year. With that...
What is your favorite game so far this year?
Mine has to be Call of Pripyat Complete.

That's too bad. i consider that to be one of my disappointments, but i only played the campaign so if the multiplayer was good than i cant speak for that. The only game I bought that came out this year is Killzone 3 so. . .

It would have to be between Bulletstorm (Xbox 360) and Tactics Orge (PSP).For being "THE YEAR FOR GAMING" there have been plenty of let downs already this year. With that...

I'm not sure that counts. because others have had the potential to play them last year. so it's not fair to the games that came out this year to be comparing them to any year you want.A tie between Bayonetta and Vanquish right now (didn't get to play them until this year).

The only game I bought that was released this year was LBP2 so Iobviouslyhave to go with that. Do plan on buying Portal 2 soon so that may change.
The Dream Machine Chapter 2 (waiting for episodes 3-5)
DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu Black Label
Yakuza 4 was pretty awesome, and there's a possibility I'd consider it my favorite or one of my favorites.
BUT, for the time being I just got a closed beta invite that I've been waiting for - for nearly 3 years - for Black Prophecy, and so far it's been AWESOME. First MMO I've considered since WoW. It is probably my favorite game this year thus far.
here are 2 shots I took on low graphic settings with different resolutions (on my crappy laptop lol). Can't wait to start upgrading my ship and PvPing. I will definitely be building a new computer for this.

I got it because of the co-op which was worth it

Test Drive Unlimited 2 probably. It's mostly better than the first one, occasionally significantly worse, but still kind of exactly like it. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I quite like it I guess. Don't know if they've patched it since I played it so maybe it's less significantly worse now.
Does Beyond Good & Evil HD count? I don't know. It holds up well, but I got my fill back in 2003. I still don't get why people are so keen on hating the stealth sections. I've only played up until around after the factory, but I don't understand what's supposed to be so hateful and annoying about them. They're like simple puzzle sections. I think they break up the pace and add even more variety.
Also Yakuza 4. It does feel quite trite at this point, the series needs some serious vitamins, a full on overhaul. But this time they at least try. The different characters/fighting stiles go a long way. With Of The End they're perhaps trying a wee bit too hard... A zombie shooter? Feels like something that should've been an additional mode added through DLC. Just something throwaway. But it's an entire game. Wonder if it'll be released here?

What do you mean? Its only April.Dead Space 2, which was awesome. But it has been somewhat of a dissapointing year.

Thank you Some-Mist. it's not fair because that extends the list to EVERY GAME EVER CREATED instead of Favorite game this year.
Crysis 2. I haven't played much this year, LBP2 wasn't enthralling and I skipped every other 2011 game so far.
killzone 3. I admit though, it's the only new game from 2011 I've played this year
still a great game though.
Either Killzone 3 or Homefront. I've yet to play Shogun 2 even though I bought it first week it released  Waiting for Spring Break to blast through it. Also need to finish Dead Space 2. I hate my backcatalog.
KZ3 and Homefront both have an incredibly addicted multiplayer and better than average SP. So KZ3 is best console game, Homefront best PC game.
FROG MINUTES
Especially after I found out I could turn on Japanese VA yesterday.
It's not even that good of a game, but it's better than Dead Space 2 is so far.
Hard Corps: Uprising. Haven't played a Yakuza game before but Yakuza 4 looks good. DW7 might be cool as well, though I've never got into one before (loved Ninety-Nine Nights though).
Dead Space 2 so far. Although Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Bulletstorm are pretty great.
Portal 2 and The Witcher 2 are going to be tough competition for Dead Space 2 I'm sure.
