Favorite Game That Doesn't Take Itself Too Seriously?

As the thread says, I'm asking for YOUR favorite games that were able to take a step back and offer a light-hearted approach to gaming.

I'd go with the recently released Fat Princess and TimeSplitters (Timesplitters 2 specifically).

Both games were a good break, especially Timesplitters, which really did make itself stand out of the over-saturated FPS genre by taking a comical route to its presentation and story. Too bad they decided to dump that in Haze.

If there's one thing about these games, its that they are able to pack so much parodies and culture-related themes into their games. Sometimes half the fun is finding these clever parallels to real life.

How about you guys?

This year? 'Splosion Man.

the whole banjo kazooie series, the whole series basically makes fun of itself, and other video games all the time. (especialy in nuts and bolts, it almost feels like ths story of it is tied together with witty humour and video game references/parodies.)

King of Fighters, it knows it can fail horribly when there is so much competition. What pride.
