Favorite handheld gaming system ever?

Whats ur favorite handheld gaming system? Mine is the Gameboy advanced sp. 3ds is my second choice but not nearly the amount of great games as the gba had. What's ur fav?

Wow, that's a great question. I love my PSP, but I have to go DS, the one that played GBA games too.

In this order: (despite I'm a Nintendo handheld fanboy)

1. Gameboy: Advanced SP (only because Golden Sun/Lost Age is what I like about that game series)
2. New 3DS
3. PSP
4. Gameboy Color
5. DS
6. Sega Game Gear (one of the worst handhelds I ever own due to the horrible battery life but then again, it was ahead of it's time)

The PS Vita for me. Had some good times on it.

Can I make an honourable mention for the Crazy Kong white handheld. Had only that game but it was a thing of marvel in our school during the eighties. Probably before most on here's times.

Mine is the 3DS, the diversity of the library is insane. Its got bout everything i have ever dreamed of. Plus its got a bunch of old stuff and can play DS library.

PSP. I haven't owned 3DS though.

Mine was the GBA:SP. Had fun times with it.

I bought a Vita and love the system itself. The library though is a joke. I LOVE my 3DS but because of the GBA slot, I have to go with the original DS as my all time favorite.

GBA, PSP and the 3DS.

1. Nintendo DS (Specifically the DS Lite model)
2. Nintendo 3DS (Specifically the New 3DS XL model)
3. Gameboy Advance (Specifically the GBA SP model with the backlit screen)
4. PSP (Specifically PSP 3000)
5. PS Vita (Specifically the launch model)

For now. My top three shuffle around a lot. I know that the DS, 3DS, and GBA are my favorites- the rankings themselves can differ a lot.

I only owned GameBoy (1995) and PSP(2006)

PSP i'd probably argue is better than 360/PS3/Wii.

it was super thin super light folded into a square that fits in ur pocket

the thing was biblical.

it had all of the gameboy and gameboy color games it had advance games which were snes quality

Without the weird touch screen, analogs on the bottom, lack of screen protection, poor battery life, and expensive Sony cards, i have to agree, would be an awesome system.

N3DS XL and then DS lite, DSi XL could have been awesome if it were BC with GBA, but unfortunately Ninty removed the feature, I do like PSP too, had some games I really like. My first handheld, man that was ages ago:

@raugutcon: Yeah, Monster Hunter is fun on PSP. Just wish i didnt have to play it plugged into a wall. A battery upgrade is a must.

psp/ds/3ds

My Game Gear definitely. I took it everywhere with me and I recently had the capacitors replaced which fixed the audio and video. Some really great games on it too.

Next up would be PSP followed by GBA SP.

3ds for sure.

3DS, my first handheld and I love almost every game I've bought for it. It's an amazing system, wish it was a bit more powerful like the Vita, but golly is it great regardless. Plus DS backwards compatibility.

ITT: people overrating the Vita's rather shitty specs.

PSP. I spent more time playing this handheld than all the Nintendo handhelds combined.

The PSP is my favorite because it is the only handheld that has ever had both a great hardware design plus a great game library. Nintendo's handhelds have great game libraries, but I always hate their hardware design. And other handheld's like the Vita or the Game Gear (for it's time) have great hardware design, but a crappy game library. The PSP is the only one that is great both hardware-wise and software-wise.

Vita for me. I tried to like my 3ds but I just couldn't get into it.

PSP for me easily.

Thanks to CFW I managed to have PS1/PSP/SNES/GBA/NES games on the go. Played Final Fantasy 7 for the first time on it. 100% it and spent roughly 250 hours on it. GTA Liberty City Stories/Vice City Stories. Socom Fireteam Bravo was my first online game (I was hooked until COD4 came along on PS3). My PSP is in great condition and is a good companion when I'm travelling in airports. It wins hands down.

What i consider the best ? Original Gameboy.

Hmmmm, it's very close between GB Colour, GB Advance SP and PSP for me.

The amount of time I put into this was staggering.

Yeah, I posted before scrolling down to your pick LOL I had this, Baseball and head 2 head football.

It's a toss up between GBA and DS for me.

GBA was a pick part of my commute during high school as it was around an hour+ to get to school. Lots of Pokemon and FFTA on the bus and train every day. On the other hand, the DS has one of the most solid libraries of any handheld/console I find.

I think DS would win in the long run due to its selection of games (quality/genres/etc).

I have to say the Gameboy Color.

1. Nokia 3310... I'm not kidding I played the original Snakes for easily 100's of hours.
2. Nintendo DS... The first actual handheld that I HAD to get.

If I as younger I'd say the new 3ds. It is a shame that Nintendo didn't port more of the top n64 games, along with a quicker release for snes titles. The snes titles released are THE best versions outside of the original carts. I dig that I can have 100 games stored on the system, and if I so choose throw almost 20 3ds titles in a slim case.
