hmm Well i use the Pc the most but not just for games but it's obvious why pc has an advantage on entertainment system over any other thing out there so it's not fair to mention it.
So aside from the Pc for me is the DS.. before 3DS. I feel the DS had a lot of experimental games that sort of brought in that good experience must of us had playing new things on the Ps2. Except this time it was a handheld the DS where games like knights of the nightmare were unexpected but great... while consoles only focus on what makes money and make a gazillion sequels to them.
It's hard to decide between Wii and PS3 for me. On one hand, Wii has the best 1st party no question. The quality of their expert design is unrivaled in teh industry, but PS3 has access to the humongous library of superb 3rd party titles out there. I can't decide between the two and they get about the same play time from me.
I prefer the PC, mainly because I prefer the freedom that follows the PC. Nothing is run off the mill, you always have options, so you can tailor each game to your liking, I aint a fan of restricted archetecture at all. (heres to hoping the next batch of consoles are more open overall)
that said, I wouldnt play a platformer, or fighting game on my pc, even if It was the only way, those are genres I deeply assosicate with consoles.
The PC because it allows me to do almost anything.
1. Games
2. Online
3. Work
4. Music
5. Movies
6. 3D
And many other thing...
As far as consoles go, I might have gotten the most use out of my Wii or 360 with the PS3 used the least.
As far as 'systems' - my most-used, and most-often used tends to be various PC builds. I use a lengthy DVI-HDMI cable running to the same 1080P TV that those 3 are also plugged in to. I use mouse//keyboard for FPS games, while using a wired 360 controller for any multiplatform games (most of which I run on PC) and I get the added benefits that aren't gaming related.
Also, the PC has quite the capability of being 'backward compatible' with games from years ago, both console and PC, and can even run the Wii in HD with the right setup.
Of all time? PS2. Why? Biggest library in the history of gaming.
Of this gen? PS3. Why? Because:
1) I like it's exclusives better than 360 and Wii. Not all of them mind you, but I love UC and MGS4 and LBP, Killzone is great and so is Infamous and God of War and Rachet and Clank. I love most of Sony's IP's and I appreaciate how they keep pumping them out a lot and making new ones. So its exclusive line up is more to my tastes. And they usually have better graphics than 360 games do. PS3 also get's the same multiplats as 360, and they all look and play identical (excluding a few rare exceptions of course).
2) Free online gaming- it's nice having that extra $60 to buy a brand new game with. I do not see the value of XBL, aside from faster updates (which is free to Silver members) I don't see any advantage to XBL. I don't care about cross game chat, I don't care about Twitter or Facebook on my console, I just want to play my games online with friends without any strings attached. PSN let's me do just that and I am overall happy with it (except the updates). PS+ is also great!
3) Reliable hardware. At the time when I made the switch, I was on my 3rd RROD. I also had quite a few scratched discs too, I had the orgional 360 model I got a month after launch, so I put up with a lot of hassel from it. The PS3 I have had zero issues with it. The 360 Slim seems to have taken care of that.
4) I like the PS3 controller better, 360 is nice too but the Dual Shock is almost perfect. Sure the triggers could be a little better and the controller could be a little bigger, but overall I prefer it. It works great for all game types, where as the 360 it really only seems suited for shooting and driving games to me.
5) Blu-Ray is great! It is the best HD format there is and I love watching movies on it. Also Blu Ray is part of the reason why games like MGS4, Heavy Rain, God of War ect....are only possible on PS3. Blu Ray also has better sound, and it will make the lems angry but I notice my resolution with PS3 games is usually better than my 360 versions were. I think Blu Ray has something to do with that. People will no doubt attack this point, but I don't care, it's just my opinion based off of my honest experiences.
1 - exclusives are the reason I have all 3 current console systems, and it was a combination of MotorStorm, a promise of a new Twisted Metal and the hype of MGS 4 that got me to invest in a PS3. 2 - PSN Plus is the same cost as Xbox live, and having been a member of Xbox live since 2004, I can say it's been money well-spent. 3 - My Xbox 360 was manufactured on 11-11-2005 and has had no issues running games for the 6+ years I've owned it. 4 - The D-Pad on the PS3 controller is better than the one on the Xbox 360 pad, but I actually prefer the somewhat larger size of the Xbox 360 controller. I even liked the original Xbox "Duke" compared to the later-released controller-S. 5 - Blu-Ray is a storage medium - it does not do anything different than the DVD format other than to be more convenient where you have a single disk vs multiple dual-layer DVD's. Technically, the Xbox 360 has stronger video hardware and more system memory available - it's the CPU that helps the PS3 architecture keep up with the Xbox 360 - as most multiplats tend to be the same on both sides.Of all time? PS3
For consoles, I prefer the PS3 because it has better games, controller and hardware.
For games in general, I prefer the PC because it has kickass graphics and performance. It's already in next-gen.
PS3
For one the old girl is backwards compatable, a murder weapon, I've had a Sony controller in my hands since i was a kid, and exclusives are gret and all that jazz.:P
PC
I have a Dell U3011 that plays games at 25x16, I don't even need to replace CDs and my games are mostly on Steam, superior controls, mods.
Consoles are for broke losers and kids. If you're an adult gamer there's ZERO reason you shouldn't be playing games on a high-end PC with a 30" monitor. Worth every penny, could not go back...
I guess I prefer the PC, though honestly most of my favorite games are on PS3.
Well uh, let's see... what are the advantages that the PC has... huh, everything!

Yeah everything but the games
I've played on and enjoyed every single major platform this gen and I can say the same for the last one too. So I suppose the one constant I have always done has been the PC, as I've been gaming on it for two decades.
It's about the games not the platforms anyway.
well i like many platforms i own , my top 5 is
1 snes this one is self explainatory i have fun collecting games for it
2 wii for mariokart resident evil driver , donkey kong super mario marioparty etc
3 n64
4 ps1-for games like driver need for speed gran turismo twisted metal and many other games
5 xbox 360
my handheld well i like the ds 3ds dsi gbasp /micro versions , and gbc
psp gg vita are ok ,
360,
Everything goes fast on my xbox compared to my WII/PS3.
In game music (I use the 360 remote makes it fast to change music in game)
Library
Party chat
All my friends play on it (well most of them)
Best controller (imo)
Marktplace is much much better then the PSN store
IMO best exclusives serious, I still need to buy some ps3 exclusives, but the most famous ones I played on the ps3 are just overrated.
XBOXLIVE is superior.
PC

Yeah and PC games are more expensive than console ones. EPIC FACEPALM !!!:D
When you are full of "it", you are full of "it" !
On toppic:
The ps3/pc combo ! The best of both worlds !
Mine is 360, I got it day 1 (first time I ever got a system launch day) and enjoyed every bit of it. I think the controller is the best in history, I always liked the dashboard, the consitant great online, XBLA, achievements, all which MS innovated for this gen. I play all multiplats on this console. I think it's my favorite thing I own, besides maybe the computer and TV. I sincerly hope my gamerscore and profile will easily carry over onto Xbox 3.
I do enjoy my PS3 of course cause for it's great exclusives, but 360 is always my favorite.
The Wii is better left not talked about.
I still have no regrets owning the 3 of them because I hate missing on any AAA experiences.
