Favorite Zelda game outside of BoTW/ToTK/Ocarina

I’m going with Windwaker! I liked how different it was, especially the sea traversal and the cell-shaded grqphics! How about you, SW? Your favorite Zelda game out of Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom/Ocarina?

Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, so that one.

A Link to the Past

Apart from the Wind Waker I felt Phantom hourglass was a great follow up.

The touch controls could be seen as gimmicky, but to me it was the exact opposite: such a great use of the stylus to for example guide the boomerang or fix puzzles.

Four Swords adventures!

I had the most incredible experience when it came out: 4 GBAs, 4 friends and 4 GBA link cables. It was absolutely incredible and the best zelda experience I've had.

Honorable mentions to the other top tier zeldas: majoras mask, link between worlds, link to the past

I could also go with Twilight Princess as well.

I may be the only person that does not like BOTW I think its extremely overated I consider OOT the best game ever made

Majora's Mask - Mainly the 64 and the GCN version despite THAT version being rough. Don't bother with MM3D...

Twilight Princess. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but it's the only Zelda game that I've completed. The Minish Cap was really good too. 🙂

Oracle of Seasons, It was the first one i got, i played before OoT but didn't get the full experience of a zelda game until Seasons, i played it several times, and got oracle of ages to continue the adventure, but ages was not that good, after that i played all of them with th exemption of the CDi ones, and while Oracle of Seasons is my favorite i consider a Link to the past the best one, and like many other i think Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are way overrated.

@kemar7856: You're not alone, I agree completely BotW and TotK are overrated. They're up there with my least favourite Zelda's. Just not my style.

As for my favourite, my heart says Wind Waker. But I also love Link's Awakening and Twilight Princess.

I don't know if its really the best, but Wind Waker is the one I have the most fond memories of.

Skyward Sword isn't my favorite Zelda, but it gets more hate than it deserves. Has a few of my favorite dungeons in the whole series.

A Link to the Past is a flawless game. Seriously, what could be seen as wrong or bad in that game? I can think of nothing right now. Gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, atmosphere, all great. I suppose the gameplay and story are on the simple side, but that's not a negative to me.

I love Wind Waker, definitely one of my favorite Zeldas. But that game had the fetch quests, and it was a bit too easy.

Twilight Princess, while good, it has the slowest most boring start of a Zelda ever. It takes like 3 hours to get going. It's also full of annoying to do sidequests. Tried replaying the game, because it's highlights are pretty awesome, but I just couldn't plough through all the slow and boring parts. Kinda wish I had a save starting at the sand temple or something.

Majora's Mask is cool, but too much back and forth. Tried playing it like three times and always feel like stopping after a while.

Remember really enjoying Zelda dx on Gameboy colour. Hated the Wii ones because motion controls.

Only the N64 version is the superior version I replay from time to time. The 3DS version was shit!

3DS version shit? I thought it was awesome. Neat controls, other QOL stuff, new great looking graphics, 3D effect. Was a treat to replay OoT in that way, imo.
