2013: Antichamber or The Last of Us: haven't really made up my mind. Probably The Last of Us based on me playing through it 3 times.

@jg4xchamp: I had a feeling I was missing something for 2007 and 2012. STALKER, Hotline Miami and Mark of the Ninja are good ones for my list.

I struggled when it came to putting Dark Souls on my list. It is great, but it's just not my thing compared to the others released that year.

2006 - I didn't really game much that year though the original Dead Rising could easily be my top 25 list. Unfortunately I didn't play it until what I want to say was Summer 07.

2007 - Halo 3 (360)

2008 - Dead Space (PS3). It was nice to think that someone actually understood how to make a decent AAA survival horror game, unfortunately that hope was relatively short lived. Feels a little weird to put this above MGS4 but if I'm honest with myself I enjoyed this game a little more. Looking back I gave both games 9.0's for user reviews.

2009 - Silent Hill Shattered Memories (PS2). Ironically there were a lot of games I love from this year including Uncharted 2 and Assasins Creed 2. However I really have a soft spot for this game. Easy enough to pick up and play and enough variety that I was encouraged to do multiple play throughs.

2010 - Heavy Rain (PS3)

2011 - Mass Effect 2 (PS3) To this day probably my favorite game.

2012 - Sleeping Dogs (PC) - Would have never guessed in a million years after playing Mass Effect 2 that something would beat out Mass Effect 3 let alone multiple games in a down year. Though if I had played through the Walking Dead at the time it would have been my pick. I might have also picked Dishonored over Sleeping Dogs if I had played it last year. Nevertheless Sleeping Dogs was a game that I actually don't feel to bad about having paid full price for.

2013 - Last of Us (PS3) - So far the best in an incredibly strong year.

2013: Persona 4 Golden (I want to give this game my Game of the Year even though it was released at the end of LAST year. Other than Fire Emblem Awakening and Grand Theft Auto 5, Persona 4 Golden was the absolute best game I played in the year 2013.) (Vita)

After 2010 the generation started to end with a crawl and games got really shitty. The best games I played were HD collections, lol.

This year my favorite game is R&C into the Nexus, fantastic little game.
