Few new Halo 3 screenshots

Not the best shots since some of them dont have bigger versions, but some show the 4 player co-op with the meta game score.

i like to play the halo single player alone the first time its more fun and epic. after that i think ill go online and do some 4 player coop and multi this game is going to be sweetwhite45e

Yeah Ill probably be doing that also, I like to enjoy the game at my own pace for the first time through. Then play it through with co-op and possibly with the meta game on for added competition.

Halo 3 continues to look stunning. I don't know why people complain about the graphics not looking as good as they'd hoped. In the single player co-op shots, I noticed there was a little scoreboard in the bottom right corner. I'm hoping there is an option to turn this off, because i'm of the opinion that a good co-op game of Halo shouldn't focus too much on competition between players. As the name implies, co-op should be about working together, not working against each other. Different people have different skills, and often it's that diverse range of skills which gets the team through a Legendary battle... it shouldn't be about rewarding the guy who got "the most kills", because there's often much more to it than that. Some people snipe, some people draw fire, some people throw grenades. It's a team effort.

That score on the bottom right is the meta game and competition is the entire point of it. Yes you can cut it off but its there to add more depth to the co-op play after the 2nd or 3rd time through. You always got people bragging saying they are doing the most work and the other player isnt doing crap, well now you got a way to prove it. It not only scores how many kills you get but how you get them, like a brute will be worth more than a grunt and also a headshot will be worth more than a body shot. You can also cause your friend to lose points by making him get a team kill on you so that you can catch up in points. The meta game definatly isnt something for the first time through, but it will be fun for replays.

Yeah, theres also the Skulls which will be fun to find in 4 player co-op. Cant wait to see what type of things they do this time.

thats just your opinion, personally i can't put it down, i play with my 4 buds every week night in multiplayer and co-op, i guess if u play by yourself it may be boreing...thats why u need friends...how is it clunky? lolz u suck at shooters huh?

I agree 100%. I am ultra competitive, but I save that for Multiplayer online and I save it for the enemy. In Co-op there is no need to compete with your team mates that is why is is called Co-op. However with that being said, putting that score box in the corner my proverbial Clawscome out, and I know my friends are the same way. People will be going for the best weapons, power-ups, etc. So I really hope that we can turn that off.

Don't you dare do that. Just stop. You are dissing one of the last great series of games to actually have a creative art direction. It's got a high poly-count, exquisitely high-res textures, and a lighting system that other engines could only imagine of having. Halo 3 will be one of the most impressive looking games to date, with its unique mix of Artand realism. Because Bungie has the balls to actually make their game saturated and colorful, people diss it whenever they get the chance because "it's not like real life".

This whole saying goes for BioShock too. It is one of the last great games to actually have a relevant art direction. People like you are complete hypocrites, because when youcall Halo 3 ugly, your basically dissing a brighter version of BioShock's graphics.

i can agree to that. yes, the game looks good, but there is not nearly the same amount of fine detail put in. and the lighting in gears is horrible. besides, bioshock and me both look easily better than gears

All those games aren't out the best looking console game to date is Bioshock.
