This is not about if FF13 is comming to 360 or Wii. From what I understand from the threads is that there is 6 Final Fantasy games being made at same time. Does anyone else think there is no way these games can be that great with that many being made at same time? Just wondering how they could put in the man power and creative time to make great games like the old Final Fantasy games.Just wondering what you all think.
SE are making so many games with the "Final Fantasy" name of it because they know it will sell. Even something like FFVII which is nearly 10 years old just got 2 new versions: FFVII Advent Children, FFVII Dirge of Cerberus.
Then there is FFXII Revenant Wings. FFXI is on 3 platforms. There's like 50 versions of FFXIII announced. Crazy!
SquareEnix is the new Milk King of Japan. I thought Ubisoft was by Releasing Tom Clancy on everything that has silicon but it looks SquareEnix is now the official Milk King, waiting for Final Fantasy BlackBerry Nouvo Crystallis and Final Fantasy Ipod Chronicles of Milkage.
I wouldn't call it milking, each game is different in the fabula series so it's not like there making crappy sequals like FFX-2 or half a*sed shooters like FF7: DOC... one of them is a mobile game for fooks sake.. who the hell buys them..
Srsly WTH is wrong with SE? are they trying to destroy FF? past FF games have been average compared to the first and up to the nine, 10 sucked, 10-2 sucked way more, 12 was a great game but it just didn't have the FF touch... SE do something about this NOW!
The idea of having 6 projects in the universe is one that they thought will allow more depth to be produced.
Also, now all 6 projects are necessarily games. After Advent children, Movies are also on the table. I have my money on one actually and if they don't do one for the Fabula Nova Crystallis projects, then KH will probably get one.
And to add on, all 6 projects aren't necessarily coming down the pipe at once. It'll be done more like FF VII was done. They'll be spread out over different platforms so you won't really notice much anyway.
I wouldn't say they're going to be bad games, but even though each game in the series is different, there are too many versions of FFXIII that just sound alike (from what I read).
The main series (FF1-FFXIII) is going to be great as always, but the spinoffs...eh probably not so much. One or two FFXIII spinoffs might be decent, but the FFVII spinoffs so far have been bad.
