FF XV on PC is a generation ahead(lolconsoles)

All jokes aside though, he's full of it. The game looks a lot better compared to even the enhanced console versions but a generation ahead is being highly hyperbolic. Hell, I still could spot plenty of low-res textures but the performance I'm getting certainly makes me think this game is as demanding as a Gen 9 title. Nowhere near as good looking though. Still, the game is a month away from launch and he said they're squeezing every second of available time to work on it so it might run a lot better and some things might be ironed out in the future.

It does look a generation ahead of the original Xbox One/PS4.

I never bother with FF15 on consoles since I knew it was gonna come to PC at a later date. Glad I never gave a rat's ass on console versions to begin with.

The game looks ass at any resolution and it's the most boring FF I've ever played. It looked like a last gen console title on release, sorry Juub but your version on PC will look like everyone else's. turd polishing abounds. They are not going to redo the horrible ugly low res textures just for you.

Nor will they edit out the dumbass boy band 'stars' of the show they will still be as utterly offensive as they were on release. I feel bad for PC gamers excited about this game as they clearly couldn't afford a console to play it on release so their low to mid range PC finally gets the thing they waited for so long. Too late. Played it on PS4 over a year ago and ain't going to pay for it again on PC.

Heck with this port, there's a Kingdom Come game about to come out. But this isn't really one of the FF's that interest me, it did have potential but looks rather stale for my tastes. I do think it's cool that they added a first person mode though but no VR option makes it a bit moot. The only FF's that I ever thought were interesting was 7 and 10. So I'll just see how the 7 remaster does.

I'm buying the PC version since I couldn't be bother with the PS4 at the time and mods will pave the way making FF15 a fun game to play anyways. I'm just amaze you didn't think about FF15 mods.

Anyway I played it on the Xbox One and while it’s not my favourite Final Fantasy I did enjoy it well enough and thought it to be a pretty good game overall.

Nobody buys a game they want to play on PS4 then decides they won't play it because a PC version may or may not come 6 months or a year later. Nobody.

Yeah, I bought FFXV knowing full well it had issues, especially the disjointed story, and god awful side quests. But for $25 used on ps4, I can’t complain.

No chance in hell I’d pay full pop for it on PC just for enhanced resolution and textures etc tho. Even on a high end rig, the game just isn’t all that impressive.

On one hand, its great that there is a significantly better version available for those that can take advantage of it. On the other hand, people with low-mid range gaming PC's shouldn't have to wait 1+ year for a near full price game. Like yeah, my PC would run it a bit better than my OG X1, but its not worth the wait nor the money.

Then there is the reality that I still haven't finished the game cause I am terrible at completing games I start. fml.

Two of some of their most hyped exclusives this year and last were remakes (SOTC and Crash N Sane Trilogy)

Does putting FFXV on the PC make it an actually good game? I played it on the Xbone and I couldn't even finish it, and I've finished every other FF game I've owned.

Was so tempted to play this again on pc, but I 100%'ed it on console (before added content) and really don't want to start over again, not even for the added content, which I have zero interest in. I guess I'm in the LOL 1+ year too late group.

General gameplay and the game world in FFXV are last gen stuff. So, the game is generation behind such modern rpgs as Witcher 3 or whatever.

It dont matter if PC version looks tiny bit better (it doesnt really, not compared to FFXV on PS4 Pro ) the game is still very much last gen experience as far as story, gameplay, battles and game world goes.

lol ! reminds me of waiting for 2 years for a PC version of Alan Wake, only to buy it at the last moment for Xbox 360, a week before the PC announcement came.

I use to care , and build pc . my current is will play it good if i buy it in pc ... but i already bought XbX 1 and i m more happy with the performance in it .... got bored from tweeking PC ... put cd in my xbox 4k tv and play dont even care if its dipps now under 60 ....

Game was surprisingly good, might even give it a second run ON DA X. At first I was like **** those **** boys I ain't playing this, but the more I played the more they reminded me of the Turtles :D Have fun PC gamers.

Meh might pick it up, but with my backlog and ni no kuni 2 coming out before March, I am pretty set for my jrpg cravings I could imagine...

Well it looks like I messed up. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you wouldn't be so stupid as to buy a game you wanted to play for PS4 then wait a year for it to come out on PC before playing it. Yep, you got me there alright.

The game was 30$ and I paid with a gift card to top it off. There was no shortage of games on PC. I simply put it away and played other games instead. I won't even get it on release on PC either, again, plenty of games to play. I just rather avoid 30fps and bad frame pacing if I can and if I cannot, well I'll take the jump just like I did with Bloodborne.
