Like the topic states. Since the PS3 is region free would you import the Japanese version of FFXIII or Versus just to see what it was like before it released in your country.
Yes, I'm going to import a game which is probably one of the most text heavy games in the history of videogames, so I can turn it on and stumble through the world like a drunken slob, who doesn't have a clue as to how to fight, where to go, what to do, or the reason for doing it.
No, I'll just wait till it comes out in Europe. Crap we get all the top games last :( regardless I won't import since it's not my thing and prefer the proper PAL region title, it may even have more features by time it comes out in EU :D MGS3 did .

Maybe since it's on blu-ray they will include multi language on the disk and make a world wide launch... wishful thinking I guess, but not like impossible.

I can't remember if the Japanese version of X and XII had English voice and text, they usually dub the NA and Pal versions all way after the Japanese release.

Prolly cause it doesn't get shipped to the North American and European buildings until the around the release (at the latest, they would wait for the initial sales in japan, though for an FF game that might not be necessary)

it's dubbed first in NA and EU and then JP adds extra content and JP subtitles so that the people there can hear the original disney voices (or at least sound-alikes)
