FFXIII perfection

Interview with Nomura-

We all know the fact that Famitsu likes to interview Nomura, and this week is no different: The magazine has conducted an interview with him, but unfortunately we did not get any new details. I translated the article and wrote a short sum-up:

· Nomura was never involved in the creation of any Final Fantasy title as deeply he is right now, and he likes the fact he can take Final Fantasy Versus XIII where he wants it to be.

· Nomura says the PlayStation 3 hardware plays a huge part in the development of both projects, and by using it "all visions can come true". He says that visual-wise both Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are superior from any former title in the franchise, and they are "close to perfection".

· As in any interview, Nomura was asked about the game's exclusivity. This time he mentioned that the TGS 2007 trailers had the writing "for PlayStation 3 ONLY". He says it's an advantage for one team to concentrate on one console, even if some fans are disappointed.

I'd have to say that even at the FF Experience Union there some disappointment towards the game in terms of Square Enix delivering information. And the FNC content wasn't really presentable at TGS07. Crisis Core, FFVII is the most recent Final Fantasy game to sell a platform. With FFXIII being exclusive to the PS3, it'll hopefully boost sales. But if MGS4 can't sell the PS3I think Final Fantasy XIII won't be ableto as well.

Considering how Square Enix is concern about their marketing in North America, and that FFXIII is a roleplaying game it's sort of at a disadvantage. Really, Final Fantasy VII is a commercial success(probably the only one for the series)compared to any FF game released. That's one reason why Final Fantasy VII is so popular. Even today Square Enix has commercials for Before Crisis, Final Fantasy VII and that's a damn mobile phone game. Out of any other Final Fantasy game Square Enix recently held a special gallery with also sorts of FFVII sh!t that was cool including a heavy ass buster sword, the mew Potion drink, Crisis Core, history of the Compilation, artwork, and more. If they can just shove FFXIII down our throats through the media like they did with FFVII or even Halo..you got hope...sort of.

So they're still not denying the possibility of a delayed 360 port? Interesting...

Why is it that cows are constantly hyping developers hype about their own game? Of course they are gonna say things like that.

Yeah, it just means the PS3 isn't capable of delivering what they could have done on the 360 ^_________________^

does anyone else find it funny that SE are planning and developing the sequal before the 1st game is even released... thats how you plan to milkBandit_Haze

versus is not a sequal

I've been a sony fanboy for year for the sole reason of exclusivity for new final fantasy games. Honestly I'm getting worried because square is starting to loose confidence in sony. I'm just glad I have both a ps3 and 360 just in case they start to jump ship from sony (they already started producing games for the 360)
