FFXIII to use full specs of PS3

If true this is going to be one good looking game-

"Dengeki has interviewed Tetsuya Nomura on the future of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XIII and he's revealed some more information on the development of the games.

Nomura says that with the help of the disc space on Blu-Ray and the Hard drive in each PS3, The evolution of Final Fantasy XII to XIII will be as big as the evolution of Final Fantasy VI to VII. He also says that Final Fantasy XIII will probably be the first game to use the full specifications of the Playstation 3. Another interesting thing he mentioned was that the airship present in Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be able to take part in airborne assaults over the world map. Hopefully we'll see that in action soon. Finally, Dengeki also asked him once again whether the games will be Playstation 3 exclusives which he replied to with "Of course".

that may have been true if Squareenix was a charity. Unfortunately they're not and they'll need to bring it to the 360 if they hope to recoup their development cossts

Devs are getting desperate now, if the ps3 userbase doesnt increase significantly then games that cost so much time and money will ultimately kill software companies unless they go multiplat.

Pretty much, is a sign of a desperate dev. Just BS talk to pump fans up, just like what was done with the PS3. There won't be any big leap like their was from FFVI to FFVII. Why? Because the reason why there was a evolution because the series moved from 2D to 3D. But now the series is just moving from 3D to ehhh better 3D. The only way I would some what believe there is a evolution is if FFXIII was made on Wii, because there is a evolution from traditional controls to motion.

Most people don't remember that. Anyhow, about Square having trouble getting the White Engine up and running. I believe that, seeing that we haven't seen many FF13 screenshots and its slated for a "2008" release supposedly.

If anyone was going to be the first to squeeze the last ounce of power out of the playstation 3, it was going to be Square. They are the masters of exploiting the systems, just look at FFIX on the PS1 or FFX and FFXII on PS2. LordXelNaga

Thats because they use alot of pre rendered stuff....Not to mention its a JRPG its not heavy on a system, its a lush interactive movie. Thats all JRPG's are ;)

On a different point...use the full specs of the PS3? DOes that mean a bunch of dongles for the usb ports and smd cards for all the card readers :roll:

Yeah sure go back to playing your generic repetative storyless shooter games, like anybody cares for your sorry opinion. And no you don't get the same experience from just playing one RPG, every one has it's own unique gameplay and story unlike shooter games where you just have to get to point A to B shooting your way mindlessly to the end.
