FFXV trailer with English voice

Do you like it? Because I'm not loving it. There are 2 voices there that are hard to my ear.

this trailer looks like a car commercial.

and the combat just looks..boring.

I think it's fine. It's hard to dub japanese stuff because the type of voice tone they use is like entirely different.

Hmmm. I was expecting it to be ear bleeding terrible. That actually wasn't bad.

So far, FFXII has been the only voiced FF that I thought was well done, but this one might just work too.

Yeah, the game itself is gonna blow.

At least they can hang their hat on production values and relatively decent voice acting lol.

Newsflash: Final Fantasy has always had shitty stories and stupid dialogue, more at 11.

That was the vocal representation of Square performance in this industry over the past 10 years.

It's going to sound as well as it's going to. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to act some of that dialogue with a straight face.

I'm feeling this game. Seems to be addressing all the complaints from XIII. It has that Square style too.

Meh. Don't care much about it. As long as none of them is too annoying or anything, I'm good.

Not as bad as expected but it's better if they keep the Japanese voices and only translate it.

That was actually pretty decent when it comes down to English VA in jrpgs. What really surprises me is they're doing the English VA as the game progresses which is pretty rare for jrpgs.

Noctis sounds like Squall from KH and Dissidia, anyway cool voices i like it

XIII-2 and lightning returns already did the job. I'm probably one of the rares that I actually like lightning returns.

As far as the voice over are concern, they seem just fine

I don't mind it really. Might end up using the Japanese voices anyways but if they improved upon release I might change my mind.

I'm not expecting it to be amazing or even great considering I've lost really any trust in Square-Enix these passed few years.

Seriously, I can't get over how stupid the convertible looks.

Square-Enix seems so out of touch with their audience these days it confounds me as to how they keep making enough money to make these gargantuan games.

Just remake FFVII, VIII and IX and get it over with already. It's what people want.

And of course, the English voice over is awful. Would be cool if they gave us the option for Japanese voices w/ english subtitles.

Besides vanille sounding a bit weird(I didint know if they were going for an accent or not) I felt the 13 cast did a good job. I liked 12 voice cast as well.

Im sick of hearing remake X game. I rather them work on new stuff.

Sounds fine. I've stomached most of the Tales' English VA which is usually cringeworthy. Not every game can have FFXII's level of quality voice acting.

Music sounds great, as always. Combat is pretty average, not sure about the story and road trip vibe I'm getting. Is this coming out on anything but PS4? Wikipedia says Xbox one (not that it knows something others don't), but I thought it was console exclusive with a possible PC release?

it was PS3 exclusive but then moved to PS4 and Xbone. PC release will most likely happen because I believe Square are using FF13 and FF13-2 to test the waters.

No one wants a remake of anything. Fans will just get pissed at the changes they make to the game and presentation.

I refuse to play a character that looks like sasugay.

If you think about it, if the voice acting was great, it wouldnt match the stupid looking characters.

Combat looks to me somewhat like Kingdom Heart only slower... I dunno, I think I'll like it. The voice acting isn't that bad, they just need to make it louder. It's Final Fantasy so I'm sure the story will be fine (I liked every one of 'em except 13) and the music is, once again, beautiful.

Colour me cautiously hyped :D

Edit: It's not that hard to give characters a normal hairdo...

Why not FFV or FFVI? Those games deserve remakes more.

Those hairstyles are actually pretty "normal" for teenage boys today... now that we live in the age of Justin Bieber and One Direction (and J-pop and K-pop), unfortunately.

Huh... it must vary from place to place, because where I live all the teens think it's fashionable to have crewcuts. Between FF style long hair and crewcuts, I'm probably gonna go with crewcuts haha

Oh aaaaand... I don't think the main set of characters in this Final Fantasy are teens, so that's no excuse :p
