PES2009 is using the same engine as the awfull pes2008. I think you should download the fifa2009 demo

PES2008 was such an aweful buggy game but Fifa 08 is really good. I honestly never liked PES.

its that good. there are 250 different improvements in 09 compared to 08 and 08 is better that pes2008

Just tried the demo. Didnt like it at all. I try fifa every year with a open mind. Its just not smooth enough. Its the best fifa ive played in years but still short of PES gameplay by a fair bit. FIFA does alot of good things but falls short on that magical smooth gameplay that every version of PES has.
