fifa 11 best sports game of all time?

for me fifa 10 was the greatest sports game of all time, and is on my top 3 all time in video games along with metal gear solid 3 and half life 2.

fifa 11 looks to be fixing some of the things that were wrong with 10 (ping pong passing, all players essentialy dribbled the same way)

i am sure now that this will be crowned(at least for me) the greatest sports game of all time. and who knows if its good enough it could be the greatest video game ever for me. i play fifa year round and it has stopped me from getting to other games that come out. fifa is king.

MLB the show 09 was the best last year, and mlb the show 10 is the best this year. It'll be a long time before any game matches the authenticity of that sports series.

Yes, yes it is. I say this confidently despite not having played it. It's the best sports game, nay, the best game to be released this year.

It will be next year too, just as it was last year.

fifa is better simply because baseball is garbage. but fifa is better overall anyways. mlb covers one league about 30 teams? fifa has over 30 leagues as well as national teams.

More teams does not automatically mean better. I would say if you are looking for league play/franchise Fifa is better. If you like RTTS/Be a Pro, MLB by miles and miles.

fifa has be a pro also for those who are into it. (hate those game modes personally) i think in fifa 11 you can even be the goalie now. to me fifa is all about the manager and online head to head. competitive as hell. i love beating real madrid, barcelona etc. 5* teams with my chivas of guadalajara.

Fifa is more authentic for a start features several game modes, be a pro, manager mode etc, has leagues from all around the world with care and detail went into each team. As a game? Well it's just far more involving then baseball ... I doubt anyone would argue that.

I'm sure baseball fans love MLB, but i'm sure all 5 of them would love Fifa too :)

I agree with that much, FIFA has the best online head to head I've ever played in a sports game.

as far as features go, i think fifa has every other sports game beat.

-exhibition matches for local competitive

-manager mode

-tournaments

-lounge mode(rewards style party system for local competitive)

-be a pro seasons

-virtual pro

-online head to head

-ultimate team (5$ dlc, great value imo)

-club championships (form a team with friends with your virtual pros, compete)

-set piece creator/ practice mode

fifa 11 is only a month or so out and i haven't even tried some of these modes in fifa 10 because others are so damn addictive.

i bet you go to operationsports.com ha. that game seems to have a rabid fanbase over there that updates rosters every year. i have no idea how people can do that. i played it and it was a good game but surely outdated by now.

i don't blame you that ea nfl exclusive deal was terrible for virtual pigskin. no competition= stagnant franchises. look at fifa before it was a honestly bad game but the competition from pro evolution soccer led fifa devs to create the highest rated (metacritic score) sports game last year. hopefully pro evo soccer steps its game up in the coming years(it was the best soccer game in the ps2 gen and even earlier this gen).

I like Fifa 10 a lot, but the gameplay is so broken, and you can tell when you plya people online. They all do the same. The ping pong passing being one of the things that was wrong. I found the WC game to be a much better game, I hope it impoves on that.

nothing worse than playing online and playing barcelona or argentina over and ove.r fifa should make you have to rank up online to use those spammed 5 star teams.
