Well, I'm sure they'll be better than Pokemon HG/SS,Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey,Infinite Space and Golden Sun DS.

Is the game actually released now, or is this one of those "hey look how awesome the iPhone WILL be." threads?

Edit: Just checked, the game is out.

And now I'm like "WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!" The announcement showed FF1 + FF2. Everyone believed that it was going to be a compolation game.

I look and see "Final Fantasy $8.99" and I think "Ok. I might pay that much."

Then I notice, THEY'RE SOLD SEPERATELY! Way to go SE with the false advertising. They won't get my money for these games.

I can tell you exactly where people get ideas like that. Sony Computer Entertainment published Final Fantasy VII in the US and EU, although Square did publish it in Japan and retain ownership of the title. That is why some people might assume it's owned all or in-part by Sony.

Hey, look! Ports!

Yeah. And those aren't even the best games on the App Store. Exclusive games built for the iPhone are much better. Games like Jelly Car, Rolando, and plenty others are imaginative, fun games that really make use of the touch screen.

I agree with jalex, I can see where the confusion comes from, so there's no need for that.

Plus, PaRappa, Twisted Metal, and Syphon Filter were also developed by 3rd party developers yet Sony owns the IP

If it's a "great year" because the system has gotten a few ports, two of which are antiquated games from past decades, where three of four can be played on DS ("I've not touched my DS so far this year" -- because you played those games last year?) and two of four on PSP... I want to see what a bad year is The iGadget has some good exclusives, so pointing solely to its ports doesn't do the system justice

I played FF3 on the DS and it was really boring compared to other FF games... I dunno if I should even bother with 1 and 2 :(

The series was pretty meh up until it hit the SNES. 4-7 are the 4 best in the series.
