Final fantasy 7 is fantastic game that deserve more than generic open world/movie games.

Hello friends

So currently playing FF7 remake and on half way.

It does have problems sure. but in the end it turn out really good game. the story is good. the combat is better than most of third person games that copy from either AC or Batman. this game was also nominated for GOTY last year and i beleive this was more deserving than last of us 2 easily.

I also apologize to all JRPG fans i have been hating JRPGs for years and years. and sitll dislike it but this game really turn out good and im surprised by this.

so my friends, do we believe this game is better than most of third person or open world games?

Haven't played it yet but It's definitely on my to buy list, either when it releases on Xbox or if I get lucky and find a PS5 (no luck so far.) Anyway, I haven't played much JRPGs but the original FF7 is one of my favourite games of all time, I'm glad you're enjoying this one, can't wait to play it.

FF7 Remake is a great game! Just got the FF7 Remake Material Ultimania book from Amazon.

But then again, it's FFVII. Even many of the biggest JRPG haters still like FFVII.

FF intergrade is still in my backlog remember getting to the 3rd disc on ps1 and it got lost.

When TLOU2 comes to PC in 2037, it will be your new Alan Wake, and you will be telling us all that the cinematics in that game are actually good for the game.

It's a Christmas miracle

I couldn't stomach the frequent interruptions, poor characters and overall pacing. Maybe one day in absolute desperation, I will consider trying it again.

And yes, FF7 Remake is a great game and still retains that title what made the PSX famous for. Once those Tifa mods show up, I'll dive into the PC and I have the physical edition on PS4.

The only reason anyone likes FF is because of pre-rendered cutscenes with waifus and the supposed 'good story'. Ghosts also like it for the same reason. Glad he came out of the closet.

Might just borrow my nephews PS4 and play it instead of waiting for the Steam version only to see they want 70 quid for it on there too (they can **** right off). PS4 version is £22 on Amazon.

Don't be envy that you're still stuck with 720p/sub30FPS in 2022. But hey look at the bright side, you may receive a something worthwhile as a gift for new year like a Chromebook for example.

Sure sure, that's the reason why SE always marketed the series with pre-rendered CGI trailers and game intros which has nothing to do with gameplay even during the PS1/2 eras. I remember many 'FF fans' who literally used to play it just to see the next cutscene sometimes even using cheats to skip the 'gameplay'.

Game is crap. Even if a remake, it trespassed too far on what made the original so loved. In mechanics, in story. You mine as well classify it a new game.

also most of time I play with cloud at battle. use ability and also switch to characters but cloud and his sword is badass.

Remake is better. better combat since turn based combat always suck.

Yeah, it's really good. Make sure to try hard mode if you're enjoying the combat, because the game becomes even more fun once you have optimized materia builds.

@MirkoS77: Ummm...it is a new game, it's a remake not a remaster.

Doom Eternal is basically first-person Devil May Cry... that's only like two degrees of separation between Doom Eternal and weeb games.

It's not a new game in terms of the universe and narrative.

They butchered the story and introduced this meta crap that was a cheap way to afford them whatever license they needed to take the story whichever way they wanted, the only restriction was that it was in the same universe. It's not FFVII's story, and I think the next few parts are going to show that more and more.

As for the mechanics, yeah a remake typically pulls old games into modern trends.....and in this case, turned a methodical, strategy based game of careful calculation into a twitchy, particle infused brawl-fest. And when everything's a spectacle, nothing is. Gone are the days of summons breaking the methodical calm and exchange, now it's just more screen noise from the mindless action flying everywhere.

They screwed up everything that was great about the original.

Who broke Ghost?

Haven’t played it yet but I have seen very extensive gameplay and storyline segments and it looks absolutely fantastic. Big fan of the original and I definitely love what they did with the game. I think it was a great thing they did with it instead of simply going the typical way that they could have taken. Very much look forward to playing it myself someday and am very keen on seeing what they do with part two.

The remake would have been a lot better if they cut it down to 20 hours or less. I felt the game had too much padding.

I can understand you prefer STALKER 1 over 2. since I would also prefer STALKER 1 over 2 despite being hype for it.

but FF7 original over remake? original is Text based game. barely playable. it was even outdated when it was released as it was released during era of Quake, Halflife and MGS.

Remake improved shitty combat of original.
