:)Â Nice Job... Sometimes I forget the capabilities of Dial Up Internet, its been a while...
Wow. It looks great.
Does it use the Wii remote? How? Do we know anything about this game?
I never even played its predecessor.
That looks really good and I have to say now I'm officially looking forward to this game. This just screams Final Fantasy more then Final Fantasy XIII ever has.
I would not be surprised if this did insanely well in sales in Japan and outside of it. I love it when Square-Enix goes back to its roots. I enjoyed Final Fantasy 9 more so then Final Fantasy 7 and 8 because it was similar to the Final Fantasy I grew up playing and enjoying (Final Fantasy 1 to 6 (including Mystic Quest)). Final Fantasy 12 brought a little of that back again as did FFonline now that I think back on it. Final Fantasy 13 and the other games in the line that are going to be released seem like FF in name. FF:CC - The Crystal Bearers seems more like the true spiritual successor to Final Fantasy by comparison. If they play this up I think Square could have a huge hit on their hands. I missed it before but now I really want to play Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, even though its pretty differnet from other FFs. With the lack of games now for the Wii until late summer and the fall there is an opening now to pick up a new game.
Okay time now to tone down the possible fanboyisms. lol. Sorry I'm just really excited that I'm excited about a Final Fantasy game again. FF13 and that lineup didn't work for me at all.
Personally I'm more exited for FFXIII and vsXIII. I think I may have to be cautious with this title. I played the original FF:CC and got 10 hours into both a single and 2 player game, however the whole thing was just too repetitive and I got bored and sold the game. I kinda regret doing that now but I have to know that this game has more variety to it before I consider purchasing it (so far looks good though). That looks really good and I have to say now I'm officially looking forward to this game. It looks a little better than Kingdom Hearts (about on the level of FFXII). That's great, considering the level of graphics we've been given on the Wii so far (barf), as well as the fact that this isn't one of Square's first-rate developers.
I'd love to see what one of their number one developers could pull on the system.Â

Sonic and SSx Blur look good :/
They look clean, but still only average. They're nothing that couldn't be done on the PS2.
They look better than any Sonic or SSX game on the PS2 at the very least.

Well I should hope so, given the jump in power from the PS2 to the Wii.Â

Ps2 can run SSR and SSX Blur? Well, Sonic uses the PhysX physics engine. I don't know if the Ps2 can run it but none Ps2 have used it so far, SSX Blur runs on the SSX on Tour engine but at 60fps with better lighting and snow effects. The burden of proof is on you ;) .

...Dude, look at it, then look at God of War.
PS2 can run it.Â
If this is coming out 2007, then WOW.
If not, then i can wait till around early 2008.
This is definitely a game i'm picking up, as i missed out on the first game.Â

The PS2 can run both games (they may have some frame issues) but, but he's not saying they look bad. You have to consider the fact that all the early Wii games are still on the modified GC kits. The PS2 can run both games (they may have some frame issues) but, but he's not saying they look bad. "That's great, considering the level of graphics we've been given on the Wii so far (barf)."
The thing is that SSX on Tour engine had some issues running at 30fps in the Ps2, while is running at 60fps in the Wii and Sonic uses a next gen physics engine (the same used in GeoW, UT3 and Graw 2). I agree that those two games don't have quite the jump you would expect from a next gen system (or a 2.5xGC) but people keep talking about the wii as having sub-Ps2 graphics and then post pics of Spiderman 3 or FarCry like if that where what the only thing that the wii have to offer . But S&tSR, SSX Blur and (I add) Excite truck look like high-end last gen games at the very least.
Â
Perhaps technical gods like the FFXII or GoWII teams can make Sonic and SSX Blur run on the Ps2, but those games came from Sonic Team B and EA rush-this-game-in-6-months.

Good point with that last statementthe trailer looks good, but you can tell that certain parts look like it needs touching up. im gonna look at this game like i looked at resident evil 4 alpha. if anyone remember some parts of chris model lacked some part of textures. if you look at the part of FF:CC2 trailer, where the hero is fighting the goblins, then you could see what i mean. the goblins dont look too hot, but then again this is the same game that square refused to put out to the public to demo, because it doesent mean Square/enix standards, which means theres still more work to be done on the game.
the final product im gonna assume will definitly look better.

Exactly, it looks great, but it doesn't look polish. It's good for what it is though, and early look at the game.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the gamecube was one of the worst games I've ever played.DA_B0MBthats your opinion, though. Final Fantasy:CC actually has a decent following. if you youtube the game, you'll see what i mean. This new version has what it takes to make this new version shine in the series, kind da what killzon2 is to the ps3.
Probably my most hyped game for the Wii. I was very fond of the first iteration but knew it lacked in somewhat a big way. Since I heard of another being made I was slightly interested... Then online popped up.
Nintendo. Square-Enix. Online Co-op. That's all I ask for.

Really? Because Gamespot said it was Great. FF:CC was possibly one of the most underrated Final Fantasy games released. Most people couldn't even play it co-operative multi-player, as it was intended.
FF:CC
The quirkiness came from the fact that it was experimental. I have even higher hopes for the sequel.
