It only took... what, 5 years?
Looks like itll be a straight up port with maybe a few extra goodies thrown in.
If anything I see it getting a digital PSN release overseas.
Welp, looks like FF I-IX are all playable on the PSP now.
Thoughts?

So consumers keep asking SE to re-release the Playstation era FF games, but they keep re-releasing the ones that not only have been re-released already, but have not been asked for by the community.
Great.
Do they seriously think that if they were to spend 100 million dollars on a Playstation FF remake that they wouldn't still profit hugely from it?
What about type-0 :( ?

They did say they were highly wanting to release it here for the GO platform which means they did announce it, but the GO platform, well, I don;t know where it GO do you know where it GO? Ok, that was a terrible joke. I think they should focus on bringing Crisis Core to PSN anyway since the UMD format went GO.[QUOTE="FlamesOfGrey"][QUOTE="captainqwark20"] Sometimes Vapor can be localized if you contain it :D North American Vaporware of 2012.captainqwark20SE never announced it for a NA release. PSP's software sales were fine in NA or quite some time then they started cutting back on support in NA and they started releasing generic Jrpgs out the as until it died. They could easily bring back support by releasing Type-O in a case, and then releasing Crisis Core for Vita and Go players. That's an easy 3 million right there for whatever fans are left of the PSP in NA.

Crisis Core is also pretty old now and the retail versions can be had for a mere $10 brand new and even less used at stores that still sale PSP games. So on that end it's pointless. PSP Go users aren't enough for SE to consider it for that (Even though I'm not sure why CC isn't on PSN in the first place). The PS Vita is also selling like **** currently so, that is not even a bright option for SE to consider right now. FF Type-0 isn't a small game.
I already beat it on DS, its the only good one if you ask me, other than the lack of save points, this is the best Final Fantasy game. It doesn't drag on to shove story in your face. Final Fantasy 4 didn't either... for a while. and ten, hhahaha, ten. Probably not buying more Final Fantasy games, in the main series. Echoes of Time and Ring of Fates were good, very good.
I'd rather play III than VIII or X any day.[QUOTE="Gue1"]
FF3 is easily the worst FF game of all.
Aljosa23
Sure you arent confusing this game with VI? This is not FFIII US if thats what you're thinking.
I'm not a big fan of X and I really disliked VIII, but they are both a good deal better than FFIII jpn.

However, does the VITA or the GO have lots of current or last gen portale wise games on the PSP GO and VITA? Having Square announce these games that have been neglected for the GO, THE PLAY, and So far the VITA would help boost the Vita sales a bit, and maybe enough for other developers to, I don't know, actually make games for the damn thing. There are no games on the Vita at all for the moment. Unless you dig but people don't count thos games sadly.

The only thing they have over III is soundtrack. Well except X, that has nothing worth value.FFIII is probably one of my least favorite FF. The DS version was even less enjoyable. The PSP version doesn't look much different from the DS version at all. :?
Should have gotten the FFIV:CC treatment.
Yup.. cuz no game can be good unless it totally inovates.Whoah Square Enix, save some innovation for the rest of us!

people really find FFX worse than FFIII?
I thought the sphere grid was much better than the job system in FFIII. I also enjoyed the weapon custimiation and how the game utilized the summons. I felt the gameplay in FFX was much more enjoyable than FFIII.
Man, am I the only one who liked this game? Thought it was the best even, out of the main series.
Also, summons in FFX were good? They were overpowered, never use 'em.
TilxWLOC
They were overpowered? The optional ones maybe, although they were overpowered for a reason...

You are my sweetheart.
I hate III, but I still found it better than VIII & X. The only thing I enjoyed from those two games were the soundtracks and a few characters.

My main problem with the sphere grid is that it's mostly a linear progression. It doesn't really let you branch out or customize the characters the way you want to. I found it a waste of time that you had to follow a linear path (for the most part) and manually activate the nodes you come across. They should have just stuck with an ordinary level up system, imo. It was a nice idea, but found the execution poor.

Maybe not, they just felt like it. Also, I like to be able to use my characters, I also try to switch them all into every battle, I prefer summons being powerful spells over them sticking around and getting in my way.
I definitely didn't get the extra summons, I'm not even done with the game, had it for about a year now. I'm at the point where everyone is bummed about Yuna, and she and Tidus talk in the water, I remember because I tried playing again today, but I stopped during that cutscene because I could've been playing Super Castlevania IV instead. And I did.
