No sorry. They aren't out yet, there's no way to tell.nintendofreak_2
Given that the game design principals in the DS title seem to parallel the GBA title in a number of ways, yeah..there really is.
Couldn't PSP owners just play the original through... *modded*nintendofreak_2
Not if we want multiplayer, the new translation, and the to see the new artsy cutscenes, no.
[QUOTE="Runningflame570"]Way to judge a game by it's screens.Given that the game design principals in the DS title seem to parallel the GBA title in a number of ways, yeah..there really is.

Not just by its screens no, but they certainly help. If you don't think that the DS game is going to mirror the GBA title in a number of ways..well, don't know what to tell you.
EDIT: Seems I was a bit too quick.
FFTA is an INSULT to FFT, they kiddiefied the FF with the most amazing story.ZanuffCI agree. I was EXTREMELY disapointed with the direction they took FFTA *sigh* And, I have nor want a PSP, so I won't play the PSP version of one of my favorite FF games :(
I deleted it because it didn't come out the right way. :PNot just by its screens no, but they certainly help. If you don't think that the DS game is going to mirror the GBA title in a number of ways..well, don't know what to tell you.

I do think it will come out similar to the GBA one and thats fine by me. I loved the GBA one. I've played it more than any game. What I meant to say is why is it ok to hype a remake and not a sequel?

Oh you can hype a sequel but I see no reasonable way for any new FFT game to be as good as the original until they make one with a similar plot to the original (as in depth and brilliance, not necessarily subject matter). I liked FFTA too, but it really was a joke compared to the first one, which was absolutely amazing. :(
EDITED: To correct the screwup (changed remake to sequel)

I'm with you on the last part. It's a port. :|Dencore
Which really doesn't matter given the source material's quality and actually helps with the improvements they are applying (most notably the translation which was one of the few weak points of the PS1 game).
The original FFT was one of the greatest games ever made, yes. But this is a +10 year old game, you should be offended that you're getting a remake and not the new game. And FFTA was a fantastic game, the sequel should be even better.
That'd be like the remake of FF7 being on PS3 and FF 13 turning around and being on Wii.

Just curious since my knowledge of this is limited *besides the fact that it's the original FFT*, what have they improved from the original.

How many new missions?

Nope, FFT is one of the games that I actually wish SE WOULD milk more instead of freaking FFI & II. I'll take this over a repeat of FFTA which I merely considered a "good" game.
