Final Fantasy XIII visually superior to a Hollywood movie???

The game's graphics are great. FF always has fantastic graphics.

I don't know about the comparison to a hollywood movie but FFXIII is certainly a game to keep your eye on.

the problem with spirits within was the basic plot and premise was waay too simple yet some of the ideas and material held within the plot were too complex for most of the audience so its plot turned off the smarter members of the audience and the comcepts presented were too complex. It tried top appeal to more people but turned off more in the end

The real problem with Spirits Within is that its primary title is "Final Fantasy", when it has nothing to do with the game...

FF13 = RPG

FFVS13 = Kingdom Hearts type game.
 

SuperVegeta518, you can compare screenshots from early FF builds to Final Fantasy the movie all you want but you still have yet to see what the finished product will look like. I personally believe that the visuals will compare to the movie, not exceed them.DaddyDC650

I liked Spirits Within more than Advent Children. Spirits Within had an okay storyline, but at least it had a freakin storyline. Advent Children was just all action. majadamus

If they mean that the CG in FFXIII will match Hollywood CGI, that makes sense.

However, in-game graphics will never match CG from the same period, because something that has to put out graphics, sound, AI, and other stuff can't beat a system that's just putting out graphics. So this is just baseless hype.

Nah Night Trap on the 3DO was better.

Hollywood level movies are recorded at 2160p and over. I'd like to see Final Fantasy XIII's "beyond Hollywood-level graphics" in 2160p. Besides, I could see the cutscenes in Final Fantasy XIII matching the quality of Hollywood CG, but not the gameplay.
