Looks great. A big step up from Episode Duscae.
Stealth is completely optional btw.

Well, it definitely look good. Almost like it's staged ;D
Seriously, watch it, you can't tell me that it doesn't feel like they set it all up almost too nicely.
Game looks stupid crazy good. Legit CG looking graphics in an open world game like this is going to be a first this gen since we've been getting games like Fallout 3 or even the much praised Witcher 3 that fell short if it's initial reveal.
Other than that, I hope the gameplay isn't too easy. The gameplay looks great but some of the kills seemed to require no effort. I hope that's just for demonstration purposes, one thing Final fantasy games have always been good at is leveling the difficulty to be challenging but enjoyable.
Look forward to playing this amazing looking title this year, yet another perk of being a console gamer. Certain AAA games like this will always hit console first. PC gamers may get this sometime down the road but it won't be this year, if or when will be up in the air, they just have to wait and hope.
It looks like Deus Ex meets Dynasty Warriors x DMC. Looks super crazy on the combat, will be cool to see how it turns out.
Considering this game pretty much killed all my hype with the long-ass development issues... The newer footage is still looking damn good. I hope this is a return to form for Square, considering they actually managed to turn around the botch job known as FFXIV.
Looks really cool ! What's with the over-powered stealth kill though ?
Warp kill 2 OP SE pls nerf
Yeah that was my only problem here but FF games have been known for their great leveling systems and challenging but fair difficulty so I am hoping this was just for demo purposes and they have proper difficulty in place for the full game, otherwise this looks phenomenal.
I am not sure how the story is going to be but in terms of gameplay this has the potential of being really damn good.
I really liked what they've shown before, but I really didn't like what they showed last night. I'm glad the stealth is optional though. It just looked like a Call of Duty, Metal Gear Solid, and Final Fantasy hybrid. But like I said the outdoor parts and exploration looked top notch. Still looking forward to it.
Game keeps on looking better and better! So hyped for this (and KH3 AND DQ 11)!! If SE manages to deliver on this, all will be forgiven!
If you weren't my sworn forum enemy, I think we could be great friends since we agree on how hype we are for those three games.
Alas, it wasn't meant to be. :'(
Looks great.
She is not a new character and not that important if my memory serves me right. She was showed off in the 2011 trailer.
Gonna go against the grain here and say I'm not feeling it. I mean technically it does look good, but I don't like what I'm seeing. Hope it's just that area I don't like, and that most of the fighting will be outdoors instead of those types of dark metallic factory environments.
Total system seller for me. If this doesn't totally tank critically, I'll probably pick up a PS4 for it.

Im so happy seeing new locations. Episode duscae alomst merged with FFXV as a whole in my mind from seeing it so often. And yeah I dont think you have to worry about this Indoor areas being the norm.
The graphics look great but it looks about as far from a Final Fantasy game as you can possibly get.
Serious fears that this will be mindless button mashing 'action' RPG trash with 'me too' stealth elements.

I would not expect this game to be the deepest in terms of action rpg (Only Souls/Bloodborne and maybe Dragons Dogma classify for me) but it looks fun and polished while the stealth elements are purely optional.

I'm honestly not sure what's 'deep' about the Souls games or Dragons Dogma tbh. Good games, sure, but deep?
I'm not expecting a real return to classic form for FF but the direction they are headed in now basically appears to be one that has nothing at all in common with what you might reasonably expect from an FF game.

Now I am confused. FF was always rather casual. Im okay with the direction they took in terms of setting and gameplay. While I had no problems with ATB and turnbased gameplay, ARPG is one of my favorite genres so thats that. But I understand that you may not fancy the chosen setting maybe the sequel will visit a setting you like more.

Well there's still so much we don't know about the game and I like ARPG's too but not for Final Fantasy which usually has combat you have control over to some degree not just frenetic button bashing. I'm jumping the gun really and assuming the worst but every trailer I see of the game makes me think it's going to be completely mindless combat with the worst characters in FF history (and there has been some bad ones lol).
Hopefully they prove me wrong but if not hey ho there are other games to play.

Hey, that game for me was FFXII (Other than some easy targets lol) and that is a loved one, so its not like I cant understand where you are coming from. The setting reminds me of FFVII which I loved but I hope they will do settings like FFIX and so on too. But honestly I dont think they will go back to ATB any time soon especially when japanese turnbased games are getting such a bad rep for years now.
Game is getting its release date announced on March 30th btw.
An announcement for an announcement at a later date:P I hope this comes out this year
I'm not entirely sure what most everyone else in this thread was watching, but to me, that definitely looked like a PS3 game from development hell. Is that a PS4 game? Its graphics are on par with Blacklight Retribution, and strikingly, even some assets look completely ripped from the level "HeloDeck."
It looks like an upscaled last-gen game, much more so than even MGSV does.
