Wii Music, seriously though I expect Braid to win GOTY on a few sites after they gave it 9.5 or 10/10. Games like Gears and MGS are just more of the same, people are tired of playing the same games every few years. I hope Gears and MGS are no where to be seen on any GOTY lists.
No Spore or GTA4? and ME was 07 game. Not the best poll on the subject.
Anyway, I'd say it's GTA4, but I hope it would be Spore.
I SERIOUSLY doubt that R2 will win it, so R2 and Mass Effect should be replaced with Spore and GTAIV.
My pick is Spore.
MGS4 for me.
And like everyone else, where is Spore in that list? and i really doubt that GS have LBP in the final list.
Resistance 2? Are you crazy? LPB?
First, Mass Effect came out 2007... LBP doesn't have the potential to win GOTY.
Take out Resistance 2 and LBP, and add Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Spore.

LoL. I agree that Resistance 2 won't win but how can you say that Brawl has a bigger chance than LBP? LBP will probably be one of their top choices when deciding the GOTY,regardless as to wether it wins or not.
Sorry, no Spore or Starcraft 2 or Clear Skies, INSTANT FAIL.
And WTF is Mass effect doing up there? the same for Resistance 2.
vash47
Clear Skies has no chance honestly,no matter how good it is.
Also I didn't think Starcraft 2 was even coming this year. If it is it will definitely be a huge contender.

I think Brawl has a bigger chance of winning... But fine, I'll take it back and say Fable 2 instead.
Mass Effect in the review was described as a diamond in the rough, im sorry, but technical issues does not stop a incredibly fun game from being incredibly fun. Look at KOTOR, it was even worseFirstDiscovery
I'm sorry. But how was Knights of the Old Republic worse in terms of technical shortcomings? Some examples would be nice.
Ok people. Mass Effect came out late November, that is why it is still viable for game of the year. Unless you expect games that have been out for a month of their year of release or less to be eligible for that years GOTY, then don't act surprised when ME and Halo 3 are nominated, or any other game that gets released that late in future nominations.hopesfall2own

Yes it was, on the XBOX the framerate was crippled, walking around in any place populated by people other than your party would result in framerate fluctuating, dont get me started on cities because i can assure you they were around 15-20 FPS. On the other hand, the graphics were simply terrible, even by 2003 standards, yeah nice shinyness, but other than that it had nothing going for it, even the art style was mostly bland. Then there were the jaggies and the stupidly long loading times. And guess what, it was still a masterpiece. Even if you think im exagerating, there is no denying KOTOR suffered a lot

Mass Effect wasn't nominated because they didn't feel it deserved one.
Gears of War came out in late november 2006 and won GOTY.
