Gears is going to be good but i highly doubt that game will bring the end.

Unfortunately I'm starting to think the same. I enjoyed the first one a bit but this one just doesn't seem to add much to it. I'm not bashing Gears 2 so freaking lay off (waiting for Mojo...). It just seems like more of the same which to be honest bores me a bit. We'll see.

The one thing that still has my hopes up a bit for this game is the supposedly longer SP. I'm a SP guy, I played the MP for a couple hours and stopped. So if the SP is good then I'll probably still buy it.

i hope so. Gear's MP was weak, its only 'good' aspect was SP and that got boring fast. Ill probably only rent it to beat it and be done with it

1) will Geow2 be a great game = YES cant wait till its released so i can enjoy this game..

Its funny that i was really excited for this game and im sure it will be a great game. I also think gears of war if a fun game and i still play it with my friends on xbox. However just recently i lost all interest and i will probably not be buying this game and/or renewing my xbox live that ends in a week.

On topic: I do not think it will kill ps3, if the first game didnt then i highly doubt a sequal will. Plus its not like ps3 doesnt have any exclusives or a loyal fanbase to keep it alive.

Yeah, we know, Gears 2 will be an excellent game (and probably my favourite game this year), but it won't "kill" the PS3, because:

- The PS3 has an already very solid position

- The Ps3 has its own big shooter (Resistance 2)

- The PS3 has a good holiday lineup with some variety of genres (not only shooters) like Motorstorm, LBP, etc.

Gears 2will be the best game this gen, cows are jealous that they dont get it :) and people saying "it looks greyzzz" well its less "grey" then killzone and 10x more fun then LBP and R2 combined :) so cows hows your 60 player multiplayer? i played R2 beta yesterday and the multiplayer is straight out MESS though better then the first 1

Gears 2 looks dull there because the people playing that were dull. Unless they radically altered Gears 2 from Gears 1, it won't be dull.

And the Xbox, like the PS3 and Wii, is not going anywhere.
