Another proof pc gaming is dead-again

Dreamhack the worlds biggest Lan party is a sci-fi party from the future

This year's event was held on the weekend, and while exact attendance figures have yet to be revealed, the last two years have seen over 20,000 gamers attend. The 2012 Dreamhack Winter resulted in 15,485 connections on the network. That's insane. Tournaments were held covering everything from StarCraft to Street Fighter, FIFA to Counter-Strike, but really, most people were just there for the good times.

Below you'll see a selection of images from the weekend. The aerial shots of the main hall are just crazy.

Well that´s kinda impossible since the biggest gaming communities are on the PC so only with PC gaming you could achieve something so impressive as dreamhack.

Should be obvious. Someone has a huge ego and no self esteem so they feel the need to create a thread in some desperate attempt to validate their PC fanboyism to a bunch of internet strangers by saying "Look at how huge it is! Yeah that's right......its big baby.....bigger than yours!"

so sharing news about a Lan event is worse than the no 1 million topic ps4 is better than X1, WiiU sucks, Sony has the best games, WiiU is not next gen, KZSF has the best graphics. Apparently those are not threads about some console owners have huge ego and need to justify their limited capabilities $400-500 console but mine is ?

That was my first thought... the unwashed masses brushing the cheeto dust off their black t-shirts and braving the sun in order to cram into a aircraft hangar and do the exact same thing they were just doing at home in their basement.... that place has gotta stink.

As a long time PC gamer, its definitely a fairly accurate stereotype from my experiences. PC gaming has become a little more mainstream over the past few years so its probably less true. But man back in the day PC gaming was hardcore nerd city.
