Firmware update 1.80 for ps3 still

ive just got a new ps3 today and the update plus i havent ryed it yet..

but ive heard from a freind it does make a good difference when watching dvd's.

It still doesn't look as good on dvds as the 360 does. So what's the point of upscaling if it just helps the picture by 1%?:roll:milb78

I have both consoles and it looks the same if not better to me.
