I was expecting Days Gone reviews at the start of the week but I read the embargo won't be lifted until thursday, is that correct?

Days Gone has all the characteristics of a top-tier PS4-exclusive, with its movie-quality presentation, engaging characters and beautifully-realised open world setting.

Days Gone review embargo lifts at 1 PM in UK time on April 25.

Out of all the latest vids and previews, Days Gone doesn't really stand out to be anything special unlike Horizon, God of War, or Marvel's Spider-Man, not super hyped, but I am eager to try it out if the reviews are legit. I do like Zombie games and this game reminds me of Sons of Anarchy with Zombies in it.

It's actually aiming to be survivor open-world Zombie game, similar to Dying Light in a way. I really didn't see anything to do with movie-game if I'm being honest about it.

Actually there is nothing wrong with it,i was just shooting down the whole Movie crap that some fanboys always love,you know were they pretend sony games have no gameplay and are all movies..lol

Sony investing this heavy in movie like presentations have pay for them,they have blend it like no other company ever has.

For me the biker theme isn't really the main draw for me, though I did like the bikers in GTA IV: The Lost and Damned.

It's all about it being a zombie game that draws me in, and it seems to be doing stuff that no other zombie game has done in a while: making you face off against small groups, a larger horde or even infected animals.

I'm looking forward to friday ^_^

I mean who would play it on Thursday let alone the weekend. We all know everyone is going to watch Avengers: Endgame.

C'mon guys this game is going to be historic, as people will look back at this game in 10yrs and remember it fondly as the first game to be completed and returned to Gamestop within the 48hr period for a refund lol.

Game is 30hrs long (24 if you take out the cutscenes lol) and there will be people who complete it in less than 20hrs :)

Lol true. Endgame is going to make more money this weekend than Days Gone will in an entire lifetime.

That movie will take in more money than like 99.9999% of all video games in it's lifetime. So this isn't exactly a profound statement. What game releasing in 2019 has a chance of breaching $2 Billion sales?

No one is going to be talking about Days Gone this weekend. All the talk will be about Endgame followed by Game of Thrones. Both are infinitely more popular than Days Gone will ever be. "Days wha--?"will be more like it to the world.

@jeezers: they’re not the same games at all. WWZ has a 4 player co op campaign very similar to a left 4 dead. It also has a pvp mode where it’s 4v4 with randomly generated zombies every so often.

In all seriousness, it is odd Sony decided to release one of their AAA games on a weekend of the biggest movie release of all-time. I get it that one is a movie and one is a video game, but Endgame is so massive it will cause ripples across all of entertainment, including major video game releases that release at the same time. I raise an eyebrow towards Game of Thrones for the very same reason; although, Game of Thrones will have a stronger resistance against Endgame but Days Gone is now going to seem nothing more than a quiet release between giant entertainment behemoths that everyone will instead be talking about.

My tickets are ready and I really won't be on Gamestop until the next day lol.

Then you been sleeping under a rock cause Endgame has been getting lots of buzz media and it's truly the most anticipated movie everyone's been waiting for. Personally though, MK11 will be keeping me busy for the most parts anyways.

I find it amusing you think everyone Sony fan is hyping this game all because it's PS4 exclusive. Hate to break it to you but hardly anyone is hyping this game but I have seen none Sony fans are taking an interest though.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. It's almost like Sony is just throwing in the towel with this game. It's no secret there was a troubled development cycle with Days Gone, and it went incognito for several years and many speculations if it could be vaporware. I'm feeling like Sony is just throwing it in with this one and making for a quieter release than they originally hyped, and pushing it out so they don't end up with another Last Guardian situation.

im rolling on world war z as soon as i convince one of my buds to pick it up

the co op looks really fun, ill get way more out of the MP on world war z, than another story driven SP game by sony, Plus world war z is only 40 at launch, i hope others will support WWZ, its the closest we will ever get to a left for dead 3

This game was never on my radar but I'm sure it'll be good. Sony has been pretty consistent this gen. I'll probably wait, though. I still need to buy God of War and I probably will this week because I'm playing Ascension rn

I loved L4D and L4D2, but without a good pvp mode in WWZ, I'm passing on it. The regular co-op mode was pretty boring in L4D, but the asymmetric PVP mode was awesome. And I've seen the PVP in WWZ, and it looks pretty boring.

I wold say the same about Sea of thieve but then again,MS will not refund you anything for downloading it from gamepass, well at least you can delete it and get back the wasted space.

I will probably buy Days Gone Friday after work, play for a bit, go see Endgame Friday night, go home and play Days Gone that night or go to bed and play Saturday. To think milllions of people wouldn’t do this is insane. Seeing a movie in theater isn’t a huge time or financial commitment

@davillain-: I didn’t say Endgame won’t be huge. I believe it’ll clear 3 billion. But games and movies are not the same medium at all. Many people will see the movie and still buy a game. Why would they not?
