I forgot, to long ago. I do remember playing 3 players in a game called Street Hockey for the snes. I think that was the first game we played more than two people at a time, after that was secret of mana.
Online - Mechwarrior 2. The 2 games that really got me into online gaming though were Mechcommander and the still unbeatable Diablo 2
Online: Duke Nukem 3DOffline: Whichever came first; Pong or that handheld football game that Mattel made where the players were just lines that moved across the screen.
socom 2 oh that was great summer. i think i literally gained 20lbs cause all a did for 3 months was play socom 2
Contra was first game I actually played with someone else.Halo 2 was the first online game i played. :? I was pretty late to the scene.

The first online multiplayer I played was Socom: U.S. Navy Seals, and it was awesome, offline.... something on the NES. I can't remember...
