Why would that be the first image that is released? That is the question I am asking myself... is there some sort of meaning behind it? Are they just showing it to show a little of their engine... To me it looks dark and depressing, possibly setting the mood for the game?
I'm reading too much into it, like I do with things I'm excited for. :D Can't wait for more info!

You would have to play ICO and Shadow of the Colossus to understand what this game is all about... all of them deal with ancient ruins and ancient spirits n such.
Well, I must say that the title of the thread just made me realize how curious and interested I am about the game. Pity it ended in a completely underwhelming state :lol: ... no, wait, I meant :( .
For some strange and unknown feeling, the picture reminds me more of Ico than SOTC.
I know i'm probably hoping for alot, but I really hope that the screen is of the well at the bottom of the spiral in Shadow of the Colossus. Continuing that story, or at least linking it to the the ICO story (like it's supposed to) would be super awesome. Plus, I hope this game has a vague an ending as the one in Shadow. Half the fun of that game was beating it, and then discussing with others what they thought actually happened. So many possible stories, so many possible reasons for the Main Characters actions.
I don't believe that either one of Team ICO's games, Ico or SotC, had recieved AAA status here at Gamespot.
AAA status is not why people are excited for Team ICO's next game; Ico and SotC are actually very good examples of amazing games that aren't AAA in status but people love more than many AAA games.
