UPDATE:
Steam Preorders are live!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1250410/Microsoft_Flight_Simulator/
I'll be there on day one. So, if I play this on GP, does that mean I don't get access to the other planes and airports of the deluxe version?

No I don't think so. You'll probably just get a discount for the deluxe version.
@speedytimsi: Unfortunately this kind of bullshit is common in flight-sims. Stuff like Dovetail Games amount to thousand upon thousands of dollars.
Game looks amazing. I wouldn’t mind getting this myself but I’ll have to wait for the console version.
@warmblur: Yea, they showed a lot of tech demo shit, including ooga-booga face woman showing her next-gen teeth, but this is probably the only game that looks like a noticeable leap imo.
@Zero_epyon: I'll admit, the more I see Flight Simulator the more I'm impress. As I said in another thread I wasn't gonna get it but is this game coming to Game Pass PC version?
Yes it will , day one
@davillain-: yeah I have game pass on PC and was happy to see that FS would be on there. But i would drop 60 bucks for that game in a heartbeat.
Great game if you like being bored.
Then you have terrible tastes you uncultured swine!
I say good day to you, sir!
Yeah yeah yeah!
Looking to get my STOL on. I always wanted to be a bush pilot. Take off in 100 feet on gravel "runways".
Any word on VR support? Implementation?
I have had SERIOUS issues with Game Pass on PC, a little concerned.
wait WTF? We have to pay extra for airports? AND THEY DON"T EVEN INCLUDE SFO!?!?!?!
Also I thought they said "every' airport in the world was going to be in the game.
This is...concerning. I was really looking forward to this game but if the standard edition is only going to have like 20 major airports....meh.
I was excited because when they announced "every airport and airfield is in the game due to *fancy mapping stuff*" I was pumped. I was going to fly from my local airfield to the airfield near my parents' house, then down south to where I went to college. I was going to e-visit all these places I know in the real world.
Now? Not sure if I can do that :(
Oh my , Airbus A320
I think , I'm going to cry ... it's so beautiful
OK and I am interested again lol
Great game if you like being bored.
gamer please, I've explored thousands of systems in Elite: Dangerous. I love being bored.
I mean, super boring pressing "take off, autopilot, then land"

DCS World is the same way. New planes, especially the seriously detailed ones, cost like 70 dollars.
But....worth it. Just need to choose carefully, plus I mean it takes hundreds of hours just to learn to fly the plane.
Wonder how detailed the planes in this game will be as far as flight systems and so on. Is it coming out for console? Probably won't be that intense. Whatever, will be fun.
I'll give this a go on Gamepass so I can explore some interesting parts of the world, not so much for the actual flying
@with_teeth26: Just use Google Earth.
nah they've done some magic that makes this look way nicer than just Google Earth
I see a couple of you guys fancy the boredom. 😎
To be fair, these are the type of games we call'em relaxation games and me playing like No Man's Sky was a well nice relaxing game, that doesn't take itself seriously and all about exploring. Flight Simulator is one of them.
Wanna fly with me Pedro? The Flight is free😁
@BenjaminBanklin: It's literally photos and cam.
its a mishmash of satellite and aerial images draped over a low res DEM (digital elevation model) with some low quality 3d models in cities etc.
its a great tool but doesn't look great

I rather sleep. 😋
@with_teeth26: From a distance in the sky yes, up close via the cam footage it's a far better experience of visiting a place than a flight simulator will provide, especially with VR motion.
Can't wait. It's been way too long. My brother's very excited - he's going to be buying hardware just for this game. Nice that consoles finally have decent CPUs and cross-platform development doesn't have to mean gimped anymore.
It sounds like MS is on board with mods too, so things are looking good.
No Hartsfield?!? The busiest airport in the world and one of the biggest? No love for Atlanta, whatever.
CPU: Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X / Intel i7-9800X
GPU: Radeon VII / Nvidia RTX 2080
VRAM: 8GB
RAM: 32GB
HDD: 150GB (SSD recommended)
Bandwidth: 50 Mbps

You're going to crash
