As a Forza fan since the original on the Xbox, I am so geeked for this game. The new dynamic time of day, weather, visual improvements (including real time in game ray tracing) and, most importantly, the improvements to the physics and tire models all sound amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Shame it's not coming out this holiday season but all signs point to the nearly 6 year wait between major Forza Motorsport releases being worth it. So hyped for this.

Definitely a shame its not coming out this year. I was a bit bummed out about it to be honest. I hope they do something about the online play with the trolls constantly bashing peoples cars in fm7 being a problem.

yes, I was a bit bummed out about that, but it makes sense since they just released FH5 like 7 months ago. I don't know what you mean by brainless open world, but whatever, im a big fan of the formula. Plus the hotwheels expansion looks great and is coming out in a month.
Turn 10 / PG studios are probably MS best studios, they're carrying xbox so hard.
Im not even mad theyre doing hot wheels dlc again. That was some of the most fun ive had with forza horizon 3 so its cool to see theyre doing it again but in mexico.
@davillain: yes, I was expecting October or November this year. But it's not surprising when you think about it. They just released fh5, now they have the hot wheels expansion coming up too.
The Hot Wheels DLC of previous games has been consistently fun. Not sure I am ready to jump back in just yet but maybe if I see a good sale on the DLC I might find reason to try it.
Yeah the new Forza looks great. And I like the Hot Wheels dlc for Forza Horizon 5 in that trailer. I hope we get a Lego one like how Forza Horizon 4 did :)

Though obviously, FM8 has taken things to another level. The cows should be happy though, i'm sure PD will be releasing tons of updates and patches to compete. Ive heard that gt7 has always had better wheel controls and mechanics than forza. It might even be true from what i've experienced.

Mario Kart stinks. They really beat the skill out of that rubber-banding cash cow of a game. The SNES version was the last one I played a ton out of, because it was about skill. Diddy Kong Racing had a much better single player than MK64, and it was just down hill from there with MK.

I heard pony was charging $200 for a mclaren OR you could grind it out for 96 hours (1 week time limit). If you think about it, its cheaper to spend the $200 than do 96 hours of grinding. Let this sink in...even at minimum wage in the dirtiest cheap ass state of alabama (no offense to alabamians) where they pay you $5/hour, it would take you around 40 hours to buy the car. Thats still half the time that sony is asking of 96 hours
Also yes pg and t10 have been top of their game for a long long time. Thats what happens when the team is not just excellent developers but they also have a ton of passion for racing as a whole. Unlike pony, microsoft doesn't force the team to milk as hard as they can in mtx.

The original Forza is almost still playable. The problem I have is the low resolution and draw distance making it difficult to make out what's happening in the horizon. I actually think FM2 was the least interesting.
If I'm honest though, I think I would prefer an option for less cars on track in the latest FM games. I preferred eight cars on track, than two or three times more cars. It takes a lot more patience the more cars on track. I'll still get the latest FM though.
