Bethesda has announced their first set of Add-Ons

2 of them seem rather small, with one looking like an actual Quest/Story DLC

As well as plans for more content in the future. Because of all this upcoming content, they will be raising the price of the season pass for anyone that hasn't purchased it yet

And more important, that this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than $60 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016.

Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for $29.99, nothing changes - you still get everything at no additional cost— the full $60 offering of add-on content for the original price of $29.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: anyone who buys the Season Pass for $29.99 before March 1st will get all $60 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years.

So if you're looking forward to more Wasteland content, you should get the season pass now

For some reason I have a bad taste in my mouth from Bethesda's DLC offerings of their past games. They've had good DLC before, right?

Looking at Oblivion's Shivering Isles and Skyrim's Dragonborn, yes.

Still, bumping up the season pass like that. Not cool!

I generally don't buy DLC for any game, it's very seldom worth the asking price, so a buy now or pay more threat from Bethesda really does nothing to encourage me.

The only game, in years, that's had me buying DLC is The Witcher 3 (Hearts of Stone is fantastic) and Blood and Wine looks like it'll be on par with the rest of the game, plus it's far closer to a full expansion than DLC.

Good thing I got the season pass with the game. Haven't beat the main story yet so I'll probably wait until the summer to get back in. Too many games right now

Far Harbor looks/sounds cool.

The Automatron also sounds fun in the more silly vein (companions? lol, I have my own robot brah!!). The other one is basically "Base Building: DLC Pack 01".

Still, if only Far Harbor delivers out of these first 3 I'll feel happy with my investment.

I bought every dlc for fallout 3 and enjoyed them and the game thoroughly. I was just talking to a buddy on PSN last night how I was into F4 until Baba Yaga came out. Then I dropped it and went right back to RotTR. It's just plain and simple more fun to play Imo. Fallout 4 is by no means bad, and I will go back to it but now that I can bring my dark souls 360 over through BC, I may roll into that first.

Uuuh, didn't read it the first time but the increase in the season pass is a dick move. People who, for any given reason, don't buy it before March will get screwed. Lame Bethesda, super lame.

Bought the season pass. Kinda dirty way to get a bunch of cash for Bethesda but more Fallout always gets me hyped.

Also just want to say that it looks like 2 of these are adding additional content to the base game... I prefer this way over than go to the dlc area and play there, then come back to main game.

Man... this is a dilemma for me. I know Bethesda puts out quality DLC so I want to go ahead and grab the season pass now while it's cheaper. But I am so very much against the idea of season passes I don't think I can support them even coming from a developer with a very good DLC track record.

Skyrims DLC was actually pretty good, namely Dawnguard and Dragonborn (Hearthfire was pretty crappy though).

The "Dragonborn" DLC for Skyrim was actually decent, but not great.

We still don't have the faintest clue what it is or what it does... All we know is Bethesda thinks it's worth more than 60 dollars and is pricing it at both 29.99 and 49.99 dollars.

In other words: I have no freaking idea what that is supposed to mean. Not as a gamer. Not as someone who pretends to understand business speech.

That 3rd one has me interest and the only reason I would consider the season pass(along with future contentn) because the other two look lackluster at best and in no way worth $15 total.

I just want more settlement building items and settlements to settle. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying the DLC just for that. I love settlement making though. I know, I'm weird.

The price is crazy too, I mean they are saying better buy now or we'll pretty much double the price. Has that ever been done before after initial release of cost of Season Pass that it goes up that much or at all?

It sounds like the plans for the DLC grew bigger than originally intended. Kinda like what happened with Dying Light.

@Heil68: Dying Light raised the price of their season pass in December I believe. I think it went from $15-20 to $30

Quite frankly, I thought this was the kind of bullshit a season passes were going to be from the beginning. In that they'd do like a limited time offer to get all the DLC cheap at launch versus being forced to pay for it at a higher price after the window for a season pass savings has passed. Thankfully it never became that except for say Dying Light who upped the price for the Following DLC release, and now Fallout 4 for this (and they haven't released anything yet).

Anyhow, I'm not buying the season pass, surely it'll go on sale at some point in future, I hope.

One thing I hate about early adopting a game is that they later sell a game with DLC included at a cheap price but still require the season pass content be purchased at full price for everybody who doesn't have it; fucked up. Anyhow, it's all about timing, or opportunity. Maybe there'll be a deal in future that allows one to get it cheaper, or maybe a glitch on the store front to get entire season pass for like $5 or something, keep your ear low to the ground.

Agreed, it does sound like Dying Light's season pass.

And that turned out wonderfully... but I don't know. it's "over 60 dollars worth of content" but they price it at 29.99 first and then at 49.99. I know what they are trying to say... but it sounds awfully confusing.

Anyway, how are you finding DL: The Following ? I think it's way more fun than the main game. Scavenging parts for your buggy, driving over zombies, it's just so much fun ^^

Yeah, it's like Dead Rising 3 in a way: that game added vehicles to the series and it was like a whole new world opening up for you.

I just drive over everything now, while also treating my buggy with the upmost respect xD

But I wonder, is there like a front grill or something you can install to kill zombies even more spectacularly ?
