Folklore is more original, has a better story, has better combat, and runs better than Mass Effect. And another plus is that Folklore is not another shooter like Mass Effect.Baurus_1

I haven't played folklore but but im not going to say no based on GS review, because all that could mean is bioware had more money to spend that whatever dev made folklore.

Its not really how much shooting there is in the game but more how much shooting there is compared to the rest of the game, i doubt ME is constant shooting like gears but I'm sure you could spend more than 8 hours in ME doing just that.

What? I assume you havn't played both of the games. Gears is essentially all shooting. Mass effect is essentially talking to people, and some shooting.

It is pretty ignorant to catagorize Mass Effect as a shooter. It would be like ****fying KOTOR as a shooter because it has guns. It is western RPG through and through. The combat looks like a shooter, but whenever you pull the trigger the dice roll. And you can pause the game at any time to issue commands, and weapon/****skill/upgrades/"magic" all factor into whethwer or not your bullets hit a lot more than your aim does.

I do agree that some screen shots look like a shooter.

Well your ammo never runs out in Mass Effect so you could shoot a wall for several hours. So yeah, Mass effect has more shooting than Gears. :roll:

OK, so you just don't know what you are talking about then.

It is very misleading to say that Mass Effect has more shooting than Gears. It is much closer to turn based combat than you think. Spend time with the sniper rifle and you will see aiming doesn't have a whole lot to do with Mass Effect.

Even if Mass effect lasts you 25 hours, you would have spent less time pulling the trigger than you did in gears. Unless you spend 3-5 hours shooting a wall.

I meant combat, generally when someone says there is shooting in the game it consist of more than having a gun and shooting at walls.:lol:

You don't have to shoot in Mass Effect. You could have been an Adept. You chose to be a Soldier, so don't complain about there being too much shooting.
