Ted Price is the President and CEO of Insomniac games. MyGEN recently arranged a special Interview with him while he was visiting in Australia. Ted is here as a guest for the Media Launch of the Playstation 3, and a special guest with Sony at the IEAA Awards last Friday night.

Ted was a great guy to talk with and MyGEN had a great time asking him some questions about the Playstation 3, HD-DVD and Blue Ray and how he thinks he will be able to keep expanding the boundaries of the Playstation 3 development. There are some interesting questions about the multiplayer for Resistance as well as well as talk of the next Resistance. Just download it now to hear it all.

Even if its fall of man with better graphics, it will still be pretty spiffy. Though knowing Insomniac, there will be a slew of new weapons, and probably tons of different enemies. It will probably be a great game. Especially now that they can "take their time" with it, as opposed to shooting for launch.

So are they moving to the 360 with the next one after the embarrasing sales on PS3 ?Frizby3

It sold nearly 600,000 in two regions. That's a tough thing to do when you are a new IP being debuted on the respective console's launch day. Not to mention that it still has yet to be released in Europe. The game will go beyond the 1,000,000 marker -- which is an impressive feat to accomplish. If you think that's a flop, then 90% of the Xbox 1's games are flops, too. Good to hear that a sequel is coming, the game deserves it.

It needs a less generic look. I'm looking forward to playing the original but I can already understand parts of the review/score without even having played the game. Nothing about it screams originality so that's something they'll have to work on for the sequel.

In defense of the 'kid', I think you are embarrasing yourself. Bioshock is not out yet, claiming it 'is' medicore is an oxymoron. And in defense of Bioshock, I've played and completed SystemShock 1 and 2. This is essentially the 3rd in the series. Both games were the most incredible gaming experiences I've had in all my gaming years. BioShock will not only score AAA, it will spawn a cult following secondary only to Halo. The SystemShock games were not your run off the mill Quake clones. They had unique elements that gave them depth, atmosphere and immersion that cannot be summarised in writing. You cows are still hyping Killzone 2? Why? The CG at E3 2005? LOL Killzone 2 will flop harder then Killzone 1 did.

my god...The PS3 turns previously awesome developers into sloppy crudbuckets overnight. Last gen Insomniac was making one hit after another with ratchet and clank, then as soon as they get on the PS3, they're like "ZOMG!! We're not realistix enuf!!1!!" and come out with this PoS generic shooter. Same with Naughty Dog - they go from one of the greatest platforming series of all time to something that looks like it was coughed up by Lara Croft's dog.

"it will spawn a cult following secondary only to Halo." - is that a joke ? if i was you i'd edit that out cus thats major self-ownage, that game will be nowhere near as popular as halo especially without even having any multiplayer at all which is basically why halo has so many fans besides it having great vehicles implemented into a FPS.

uh yeah i know what it means, and it will come nowhere close to it, your post is just very lost. how can a FPS game like this have a cult following secondary only to halo which means it would have to sell at least 5-7 million or so, if it doesnt even have multiplayer? it makes no sense...

ok make sure we got that outta the way :) but you cant say its not impressive for a $600 console to have a game sell about 600k in 3 months its never been done before cus theres never been a $600 console with the name playstation on it. its not a stellar HIT like say gears but its a 1st gen lauch game and has done very well for itself and will get over a million and most likely multiple millions over the next year or couple of years when ps3 hits worldwide and sees a pricedrop.

Not to mention that it still has yet to be released in Europe. The game will go beyond the 1,000,000 marker -- which is an impressive feat to accomplish. If you think that's a flop, then 90% of the Xbox 1's games are flops, too. Good to hear that a sequel is coming, the game deserves it.

ok make sure we got that outta the way :) but you cant say its not impressive for a $600 console to have a game sell about 600k in 3 months its never been done before cus theres never been a $600 console with the name playstation on it. its not a stellar HIT like say gears but its a 1st gen lauch game and has done very well for itself and will get over a million and most likely multiple millions over the next year or couple of years when ps3 hits worldwide and sees a pricedrop.

If Pirates of the Carribean, the first film either made little profit, broke even or went it red ink (can't say how Killzone did so let's say it's one of those since we know it didn't do well) do you think they would green light a second film? No. Especially with critics saying the game is average at best or just ok. I'm a fan of the series now and I have the intelligence to know the truth that something in that kind of situation usually is forbidden from a sequel. But now they throw over $22 Million in development and it is going to come out.

Now anyone with half a brain nows that this game needs to put out a good title for it to be considered a good franchise and a big game that people need to get. Yet so many sony fanboys have it on their list like it's automatically a hit when we haven't even seen one piece of gameplay other then lies of gameplay which really pissed me off and is very sad. Maybe Killzone 2 will be great but until they prove themselves at guerilla they can't be given the benefit of the doubt with a failure already. It's called common sense

Killzone was not loved by critics to say the least while KOTOR was priased heavily and I think it sold +$1 Million which on the 360 which doesnt have the 100 Million sony fanbase like the fanboys keep saying and is a shooter only console like the sony fanboys keep saying... that is a great thing. I mean Killzone did average or bad in sales but also did poorly in terms of word of mouth and reviews. KOTOR is honestly one of the best games of all time and easily has the best storyline ever in a Video Game.... so not sure what you're talking about

easily the best storyline ? now you crossed the line, bioware games have the worst storylines in RPGs and the best part of RPGs is the story. KOTOR storyline is worse than jade empire's and thats sayin something. killzone mightve not reviewed so hot but it sold over a million and thats not bad sales, you dont know what you are talking about. you mustve never played a real RPG like FF12 or rogue squadron or shin megami tensei or its sequels, those are RPGs with stories.

Thats 498,250 sold in the US. These are SOLD numbers to customers, not shipped. Thats 612,500 copies of Resistance sold in 2 regions in 3 months. The game will definatly break 1,000,000 sold after the Europe release of the PS3.

I know this is supposed to be the PS3's premier title at the moment, but it looks far too generic to really carry the system. I have little to no interest in it.
