Basically, its a mouse for the 360.

Now before all the PC flamers start flaming about this, id like to add that im mainly a PC gamer, and believe that the mouse and keyboard control scheme is superior to the 360 or the ps3 controller when it comes to FPS games.

It dosent have a keyboard, but instead has a controller similar to the Wii, but without the motion tracking in it.

Problem is that its kinda hard to find one in RL. I had to get one from Amazon myself.

My understanding with the issues of peripherals like this, is not the hardware itself, but the software on the console built to interpret specific controller communications.

i.e. even though it's a mouse, it can still only send the information which can be interpreted by the games/OS. I believe the issues with things like this is in how the data sent by the peripheral is interpreted. People comment on it not being smooth (imagine replicating every mouse movement with a notch of a controller) - this issue utlimately falls down to the link between controller/mouse and the OS/game.

Nothing necessarily wrong with them trying, but from what I've heard it doesn't necessitate into a full-blown PC experience where games are built to interpret mouse-data.

about all of the PC gamers I have met have said that once they got a PC Gaming Rig they never went back for consoles and the only thing I could ever think that PC gamers can go and get a console for only games that are not on the PC.

No because im not ignorant to say i speak for all PC gamers, not even the part that is frustrated with the current state of PC gaming compared to console gaming. Im just showing PC gamers a new option (and 360 gamers too).

all I basically said was that PC gamers will not go on consoles just because it has a mouse!

I tried using one of those before - the "FragFX" it was called - and it's nowhere near the same feeling as a mouse. Movement is abrupt and jerky; you'll never have a perfect M/KB substitute for consoles because controllers are analog.

Wow never even thought about this idea. Pretty cool, if I can find a functional one for PS3 I'll definitely pick it up, I'd play more FPS if I had a mouse for PS3.

I'd rather just stick to my PC... :P

I'm a PC gamer and I don't hate playing FPS on consoles. This Scorch thing is just like the FragFX for PS3. Pretty cool. Not sure if I will invest in either right now though. I am intetrested though! For now I like playing console shooters with a controller :).

just adapt to the controller, that's what the game is made for. I always have my halo PC when I feel the urge to pwn.
